hey you!!! you are allowed to walk. during a run, during a race, whenever. there is no rule that says you have to run the whole thing.

most people who run half marathons and marathons? they stop. they walk. they take breaks. thatā€™s just what running actually looks likeā€¦and somehow that never makes it onto your feed.

i spent so long thinking i ā€œwasnā€™t a runnerā€ because the idea of going any distance without stopping felt impossible. so i justā€¦didnā€™t try. and i really wish someone had told me sooner that running looks completely different for every single person out there.

if the only thing standing between you and getting out there is the idea that you have to run every step ā€” you donā€™t. walk breaks arenā€™t cheating. slowing down isnā€™t failing. and nobody around you is keeping track.
