Did we lose track of the space/time continuum and overlook one of the prompts? Maybe? 🤔 lucky for us we had this little design handy from work we did with the one and only that somehow for the bill.

The 9th prompt was Sci-fi + Cacti - Sarah’s working on her computer science degree and studying generative AI. What’s more sci-fi than artificial intelligence? Swipe to see some backgrounds she was able to create with the assistance of the generative background feature in Photoshop. Not bad! What do you think?

We’ll do our best to catch up and cook something up for the 10th and final prompt “RIP + Y2K” over the next couple days. Stay tuned! Any composition suggestions?

I ran out of time this week to create the drawing prompt for (pumpkins + pastels) so instead I’m sharing some pastel versions of the mushroom patterns we created for ! I mean, they both grow in dirt soooo… basically the same? 😅

Pheeeew, getting this in just under the deadline for the drawing this week! I only had time to do one version of the Treats & Tarot because my entire family has had the flu for a week and a half. So! You get one extra weird one instead of a full deck - THE SUN! The idea for this is that the sun is a sucker, the rays of light are the wrapper peeling away, and it’s in a halo of CANDY CORN, yes candy corn, and the sun(cker) is helping the candy corn grow in the fields below. Yep, that’s how candy corn is born, y’all, so if you hate nature’s wonder then I don’t know what to tell you. *Candy corn is delicious!

Better late than never? The best part about drawing for fun is no one steps in and says you’re getting carried away. 12 hours later you’ve created illustrations perfect for 80’s hair salon poster art giving red and black Kimpossible (she wore green not red in case you were wondering) or fruity doodles suitable for baby onesies 🙃 Hope you enjoy, because we had a lot fun drawing for the heck of it and getting to let our imaginations run wild.

How is it *JULY* already?! Time has flooooown by, and we’ve already had the pleasure of meeting and working with so many wonderful humans this year.

We were reflecting on all the fun we’ve had connecting with y’all so to celebrate we put together a logofolio to showcase the designs we’ve created since joining forces 🤝🏼 It’s been an awesome experience getting to know so many of you, cheering you on in your businesses, and learning your stories.

We are so excited to share some of our favorite elements from our collaboration with Jennie Foglia-Jones! We wanted to create a logo suite that was both memorable and meaningful, that encapsulated Jennie’s Italian heritage, while also showcasing her professionalism and expertise in her field. A tall order! But what truly sets us apart is our dedication to deeply understanding our clients. We meticulously think through every detail to create something magical that resonates both with our clients, as well as *their* clients. We know that anyone can create a simple logo (say hello to your sister’s friend who just downloaded Photoshop for us 😅), but there’s so much more that goes into creating something timeless that our clients will cherish for years to come.

For this project we used multiple elements of inspiration, and incorporated them into one cohesive design. Our submark features a tribute to Jennie’s late “Gramma,” whose favorite bird was the hummingbird, visiting a gardenia bloom, which is Jennie’s favorite flower. Then we blended them together to create a design reminiscent of ornate Italian tiles. Swoon!
Our primary wordmark features continuous connected letters, symbolizing Jennie’s commitment to close collaboration with her clients. The effortless transition from elegant serif to refined script epitomizes Jennie’s seamless blend of collaboration and creativity, while the elongated ascender of the “f” subtly evokes the expressive gestures of communication, paying homage to Jennie’s Italian heritage. 🤌

In addition to these primary features, we drew numerous custom illustrations, like the olive branches found within her patterns, and if you look closely at the hummingbird, you’ll see the wings are crafted from a leaf of our olive branch. Layers upon layers of meaning! That’s how we roll.

Our project with Jennie has been such a wonderful experience - from getting to know her in our initial meetings, taking brand photos in her home while she made her Gramma’s famous gnocchi from scratch, to implementing everything we created together onto her new website. It was just, *chefs kiss*

ATTENTION CAMPERS! We are so very excited to introduce our newest camp counselor, Alice (pronounced ah-LEE-chay - like ceviché. If you throw your hands in the air it’s easier to pronounce 🤌)! She’s joining our camp as our resident photographer and has already helped us elevate our client’s brands to new heights (branding + photography = pure ✨magic!✨). Whether it’s branding photos for your gardening business, or tossing pies at a local pizza joint, she’s going to get you to feel super comfortable like it’s just another day at work (and that should be really fun, right!?).

Alice brings a world of experience and a vibrant personality to our team. Her passion for photography began in her her college years in Paris (yes, we’re about to tell a story), and she spent the next decade fully obsessed, honing in her skills and becoming the amazing photographer she is today. She shot tons of fashion shows in Paris, worked for Nordstrom editing commercial photography for 8 years (you probably own something in your closet that she edited for their online website!), and has been running her own photography business since 2014 where she primarily specializes in family and newborn photography. You’ll notice her contagious joy and energy right away, which comes in handy for both babies and business owners who don’t love being on camera — she knows just how to get the perfect shot that captures the genuine joy our client’s feel about their businesses. We can’t wait for you to meet her!
