Your hosts discuss the current blockbuster sensations DUNE 1 & 2, as well as what’s ahead for us in this franchise. They revisit David Lynch’s 80’s DUNE-semi disaster and find the good (STING! Lynchness!) the bad (like, most of it) and the ugly (looking at you Baron IckyFace!).
Later, Krys describes his favorite DUNE, the one that could’ve been, a madness filled, rock-n-roll/ scifi hallucination chronicled in the fascinating documentary, JODOROWSKY’S DUNE.

How early is too early for mutant babies, eraser brains and ladies in a radiator? The limit doesn’t exist!
This episode goes deep into LynchLand, so get some damn fine coffee and a slice of pie and join Krys, Matty and Ms. Ana as we discuss male fear and anxiety, Twin Peaks and the real Washington state experience, favorite Lynch films and which ones to watch with the whole family — and which ones to keep to yourself!
It’s a good one, but if it gets too spooky and weird, just remember, in heaven, everything is fine. And that no matter what, we love you— to death.

Episode 32. DADDY, TELL ME ALL ABOUT MIDNIGHT MOVIES!

Sit down kids, your Dirty Pillows Daddies wanna tell you a story. The great tale of the Midnight Movie! Back in the Olden Days, before you were even a Sparkle in my Thighs, we had big dirty cloudy movie theaters that could seat 600 comfortable stoners and freaks and geeks and qu**rs. These movie theaters would sometimes wait till midnight to show their weirdest, artsiest, cheapest or gayest movies. You could smoke in the theater, and not just tobaccie.. if you know what I mean, kiddo. And things got WILD, and lucrative. Many of the movies that first caught audiences attention this way have grown to become treasured cult films, record breakers and inspirations for weirdos for decades to come!

So sit back and revisit a time when communal film watching was King, and Frank N Furter and Divine were Queens. Hear about Jamaica’s first film and the explosion of Reggae. Learn what a Jodorowsky is and why he’s Krys’s guru. Which characters in Rocky Horror Picture Show have Krys and Matty portrayed and how did those experiences make them the g**s you love today.

This episode has it all: History, Dog P**p, Hippie Culture, Zombies, Olivia Rodrigo and something called an Eraserhead. Literally something for everyone. How did this cult phenomenon happen, what happened to it, and what has it transformed into these days?
