This is the part where I wonder if I should be on meds again. My intuition - I need a moment to unwind the double edged pointy metal it can become at times. In that lingering space I wonder around until it’s time. “Now we’re dancing.” He was surprised I knew that I understood after he said “My name is Gene like genius.” His whole life and delicate demeanor was easy to file through; my fingertip on his back knowing he’d bring them upon his return to guard. “I still got it.” I heard him whisper inside himself as I watched him walk away. Another piece of you caught and grabbed a piece of me.
