Having a handicap license pass displayed on my mirror I parked and got out of the car, I had this lady say to me, "well, you look perfectly normal to me!", (I actually had someone say this to me at Target one day) as I turned to look at her and said, very seriously, "maybe that's part of the problem, you can't see what's lurking under my shell." The look on her face was priceless! Just because YOU can't SEE it doesn't mean it doesn't exist! Until you have walked in our shoes and have felt the pain we feel, keep your cruel and ignorant comments and opinions to yourself. I'm posting to stop people from mocking and laughing at people for things beyond their control...

I don’t usually do these types of post as a matter of fact they drive me kind of crazy. But this one hit a little too close to home because I am someone who has many invisible diseases, and they finally all caught up to me. I hope I’ll get out ahead of them but I’m not sure I will.
My list:
Depression
-Anxiety
-PTSD
-Autoimmune disease
-Chronic pain
-Diabetes
-Fibromyalgia
-Neuropathy

For everyone experiencing an "invisible" disease.......

My favorite quote from my doctor was, “It can’t really be that bad if you are still doing everything you do.“ I told him I didn’t know I had a choice. Years in pain, tired and the many changes in me for no apparent reason... Hiding everything from someone else, pretending to be doing better than you are, until it no longer works. No matter how strong you want to be.

Then the moment comes when they tell you what you have... You have mixed feelings: you finally know what you have, but how do you deal with it?

Lack of encouragement, wanting to lie down, taking medication frequently; having a whole pharmacy on top of the nightstand. Then, the daily responses, "Why did you get so fat?" “I have this great diet, if you would just go out and exercise, you would feel better.”

That once beautiful hair of yours is now awful and it falls out. What has happened to you?

This is all true and that's why I'm sharing it!
Silent and invisible diseases do exist... When you have an invisible disease it is difficult to argue from your perspective with ignorant people. Life takes a lot of turns!

Tired of being told:

* Did you go to the doctor?
* Have you tried this?
* Have you tried that?
* I don’t know what else we can do for you...

Yes! I tried, and still I try everything!

Doctors say this disease is forever. That I will not heal. However, I am not giving up, but I want to make others realize:

* A nap will not cure me but it will help me...

* I am not lazy, I take medication and it
sometimes makes me sleepy…

* I am not angry but sometimes cranky with pain…

* I struggle daily with pain, mobility problems, fatigue, the criticism of my environment…

Most frustratingly, people look at me and say, "It can't be that bad; you look good." Despite the fact that my body is experiencing excruciating pain everywhere, of course I look good, I always try to look good, it is an "invisible" disease.

This disease affects me physically, mentally and emotionally. Because rare autoimmune diseases cannot be seen, but we feel them. And they are there... Silent attacks are extra painful.

Dear, Sam’s Club’s, Targets, Kohl’s, Walmarts, ALDIs, Home Depot , Jewel & all other stores that have self checkout,

You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now.
The guy checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone. I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already:

🛒filled my cart
🛒emptied my cart
🛒scanned the items
🛒refilled my cart

and so I just skipped the exit line and left the store.

I heard him saying "umm - Excuse me “ as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store.

You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be.

• I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you.

• If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's your problem not mine.

• Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities.

I certainly know who my only friend will be but here goes nothing. Because this means a lot to me personally. I’m told (learning) that chemo, radiotherapy (and immunotherapy) treatment, can take years until you feel alive again ... With the side effects of chemo and radiation, you will never be 100% again because your immune system is weak. Ruins marriages, families and relationships with friends. Because you're not the same again after cancer and treatments. In the hardest moments you know who your real friends are or who the people are who appreciate you. Unfortunately, like with most friendships, Facebook friends will leave you in the middle of a story. They want a post to ′′like′′ for the story, but they don't really read your message when they see it is long. More than half have stopped reading. Someone may have already gone to the next post in their newsfeed. I have decided to publish this post in support of close family, friends and relatives who have fought this horrible disease.
Now I'm focusing on those who take the time to read this post to the end ... a little test, just to see who reads and who shares without reading.
Cancer is a very aggressive and destructive enemy of our bodies. Even after treatment, the body is devastated. It's a very long process. I would like to know who I can count on and who takes the time to read this. When you have finished this, write ′′Done′′ in the comments. Sadly, cancer is still the illness of the century. Please, in honor of someone who died, or who is battling cancer.
