It’s super special when your children become old enough to ask about the ANZACs and you finally are able to pass on family history to them.

At Brekky Ollie told me he knows ANZAC day is this month and he is excited to learn more about the traditions and history of the day at school.

What’s extra cool for Ollie is that Tom served at Gallipoli (Ollie knows it’s a famous war for Aus).

He can now take this part of my side of the family and share with his class.

The boys have found a new hobby

Santa got the boys fishing rods and 6 months later i felt they (Huxley) were ready to go fishing for the first time.

Today was all about learning to be safe around hooks and the water. Also how to confidently throw the line in whilst around other people (me the bystander who was dodging hooks like a ninja mum).

Ollie absolutely loved it and cannot wait to put bait on and go “real fishing”. He told me “that was so much fun we definitely need to do this more”.

Huxie was literally jumping for joy and was enjoying every moment of it. “Mummy Teagan I didn’t catch a shark, Ollie catched leaves!!”

New hobby unlocked today 🎣🎣
