I spent 28 years not understanding my hair…

But it turns out, that was only just the beginning of what I’d learn. Xoxo

I am so grateful for my on so many levels. For self acceptance and giving me a “just roll with it” mentality.

As a first born, eldest daughter perfection was the standard my brain operated on. Curls taught me a life lesson — there’s no such thing as perfection and that is OK!

Most of all, I am grateful that hair brought US (you + me) together. And THAT is worth celebrating!

Send this to a curlfriend that you love. Xoxo

Weekend wedding dump. 🥰🫶🏼🌸

I hadn’t seen some of the people in almost 10 years — I’ve had two kids, my hair is grey now, there’s been obvious physical changes that are noticeable between that kind of distance in time.

Was it mentioned? Absolutely 😂.

☝🏼But not in the negative ways we often fear…

I got to talk about my sweet babies that I grew and have the privilege of mothering. 💕

My hair is greying but I’ve collected another decade of memories. 🤍

And even though our looks change over time, there’s something extra special about love & those friendships you’ve made that transcend time. 🥰

Have you ever felt unnecessarily nervous about someone noticing your physical changes when you haven’t seen someone for a long time? I think we often fear the worst but no one is thinking about you as much as you, boo. 😘

Wishing you the happiest of new years from my little fam to yours ♥️

I don’t know if it was just life with two kids under 4, being in or on the verge of a Menty B all year long, postpartum depression/hairloss, restarting sertraline or a combination of the above but I had fallen out of love with content creation this year. Took my own advice and I stopped putting pressure on myself to create stuff when I wasn’t in the mood and that has been exactly what I needed ♥️

I’ve been spending time offline to soak in the magic of the season with toddlers + my family visiting from Nova Scotia, do crafts, bake lots of bread — and not worry about documenting any of it! — heal from the thousandth flu of the year 🙄 and *actually* relax. It’s been everything.

Wishing you all a calm and peaceful new year. I can’t wait to reconnect with you through this space in 2024. 🫶🏼✨

And of course any of the good photos were taken by my sister. 📸
