The danger of placing hope in any human being or allowing them to place hope in you.
90% of married women take their rich, handsome husbands, sons, or daughters as their life. They put all their hope in them.
80% of students and graduates put all their hope in their uncle or aunt to help them get admission or get a job.
75% of single girls put all their hope in their boyfriend to marry them.
Also, most people see themselves as more important in the family, workplace, church, etc. For example, assuming that people around you would find it difficult to cope if you were no longer there.
If you're among any of the above-listed individuals, please advise yourself today.
It's very dangerous to put all your love and hope in any human being like your husband, son, daughter, uncle, or wife to provide for you or assist you in anything. They may be important to you, but don't fully rely on them as if your entire life depends on them.
What happens when you fully hope in any human being or when you allow them to hope in you?
Fully relying on any human being means practicing idolatry, for Exodus 20:3 states, “thou shalt have no other gods before me.” So, that person becomes your second God. That person may even disappoint you, or the devil may use that as an opportunity to bargain for their life, health, or riches. He may also bargain for your life if you're the one posing to be more important.
Before helping people, always remember to acknowledge God first. Refer the person to God. Let them know that he is the source of your wealth, and that it's not by your own power.
True-life evidence:
A guy narrated how his uncle promised to train him in university, but all hope was lost when his uncle's shop caught fire. (Think about it)
My own experience:
I put all my hope in a barrister who was supposed to sign a form for me, a form for a bank job I got. The man disappointed me when I needed him most. (That is the devil bargaining with our progress)
Another true-life evidence:
A man loves his wife so much that he didn't allow her to stress herself by joining him in his business. The wife stays at home and now sees her husband as all she has. The woman completely relied on her husband to the extent that she doesn't know the prices of items in the market. The man is the one who buys everything for her until the day an accident claimed the life of the man. The woman became totally confused as if her whole world has come to an end.
