Director Reens wanted to switch things up, so here we are in Florida at the Patmalnieks Pool.

Made a quick, easy, hot weather, good for a crowd drink. Classic Lime Daiquiris.

It's a simple 3:2:1 recipe, I made it for 4 people but you can use that ratio to make as many as you'd like.

Daiquiris
6 oz Rum
4 oz Lime
2 oz Simple

Add to a shaker.
Shake with plenty of ice.
Strain into your glass.

Huge thank you to Jan & Ed for hosting us! Sorry I broke the juicer.

We saw alligators about 2 hours after recording this. So I would not recommend swimming in the pond.

Happy Opening Day!

70 Degrees in Michigan, it's time for a tiki party.

These are so easy to make, there is no reason you don't whip these up at least once this summer.

Lots of special effects this week. Tell me what ya think. Too much or keep em coming... or you dont care which totally makes sense. Lets make the drink!

Painkiller
2 oz Rum
- I used 1 1/2 oz White Rum from Iron Fish & 1/2 oz Doctor Bird Jamacian Rum from Two James
2 oz Pineapple
1/2 oz Orange
1 tbsp Cream of Coconut
Nutmeg
Pineapple Fronds
Crushed Ice

Fill a glass with crushed ice and add the pineapple fronds.
- Prepare your glass first, so you can get right to it after you shake.
Add Rum, Pineapple, Orange, and Cream of Coconut to the mixing tin.
Add ice and shake well (15 seconds, get after it)
Slowly strain into the glass.
Sprinkle nutmeg on top of the ice, do not stir into the drink, its for aroma not flavor.

Thanks ya'll for watching these dumb videos each week. Special edition next week and then we may slow it down or switch it up. Who knows what comes next, how exciting.

I wanted to do a fun St Pats drink, but then realized I probably shouldn’t chug carbombs on the channel.

Instead I’m making a classic rye Manhattan but giving it a little extra flavor with some hickory smoke. Easier than it sounds. Let’s go.

Smoked Manhattan
2 1/2 oz Rye
1 oz Sweet vermouth (just 1, no more)
3 dashes ango
Cocktail cherry
Orange peel
Hickory smoke

On a wooden surface, light wood chips and cover with glass.
In a mixing glass stir rye, vermouth, and bitters over ice until chilled.
Flip smoke filled glass, add ice, strain cocktail into the glass.
Garnish with the orange peel and cherry.

Big shout out to Jan & Ed for the smoking kit and to for being the worlds loveliest and most patient director.

We finally got to the Espresso Martini. I skipped over these for years and I am a fool for doing so. Not to sweet, kick from the espresso, nice layer of foam... its awesome.

I used freshly brewed espresso, the better your espresso the better the drink. If you don't have access to espresso thats ok, cold brew concentrate is a good substitute. Make your own or find one ya like.

Espresso Martini
1 1/2 oz Vodka
1 oz Kahlua
1 oz Espresso (or Cold brew concentrate)
1/3 oz Simple Syrup
Lemon Peel
Espresso beans

Add all liquid ingredients to a shaker.
Squeeze lemon peel into the shaker and discard.
Add ice and shake well 10 - 15 seconds
Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with 3 espresso beans.

Happy b day & thank you to otherwise I never would have found this gem & for the espresso tips 🤌

Well here goes. The (first) shots episode. They are mini drinks so thats a good reason to make three. All of these shots are made for two people. If you are serving for more or want doubles, simply double the ingredients.

Violet Lemon Drop
2 oz Vodka
1 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Creme de Violette

Shake well, strain into shot glasses.

Green Tea
1 oz Jameson (Irish Whiskey)
1 oz Peach Schnapps
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Lime Juice
~ 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
Splash of Sprite

Add everything but the Sprite to a shaker and shake well. Top each shot glass with a splash of Sprite.

This one needs a name... help us out.
1 oz 151 Rum
1/2 oz Dark Rum
1/4 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters.

Add everything to a shaker. Shake well. Strain. Hold on.

You probably get sick of watching these videos if you are trying to recreate the drinks. I made some easy to read cards with everything you need to know. You can find the whole set here tommywhitts.com/cocktailcards

Classic & Dirty Martinis

I want to start making martini variations... but before that we need to do the original.

A lot of debate over martinis, so I made the two that I drink. A classic dry gin martini, and a dirty martini, also made with gin.

FYI these are how I like em'. Adjust the spirit, vermouth, bitters and garnish to find your favorite.

Classic Dry Martini
2 1/2 oz Gin or Vodka
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
2-3 Dashes Orange bitters

Dirty Martini
2 1/2 oz Gin or Vodka
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1/2 - 3/4 oz Olive Brine

Put a martini glass in the freezer. Add ingredients to your mixing glass. Add as much ice as you can. Stir (20 seconds). Strain into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon peel (classic) or olives (dirty).

S/o to Gregory Daniel Martini for the request. Check out his page for new local music.

February in Michigan is trash. So we made a hall of fame tiki drink. Big, boozy, and literally on fire.

Feel free to use 2 oz of ANY rum you want. Start with silver and try new stuff as you go. Visit 10 bars and order a Mai Tai, you'll get 10 slightly different drinks.

Mai Tai -
2 oz Rum
- I used 1 1/2oz Brugal Anjeo & 1/2 oz Two James Doctor Bird
3/4 oz Cointreau (Triple sec is fine)
1oz lime
3/4 oz Orgeat (almond syrup)

Shake all ingredients and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Add some mint and you are good to go. Drink your Mai Tai through a straw.

For the flaming lime -
Turn half a lime inside out
Fill with 1/4 oz 151 Rum
Light
Sprinkle nutmeg or cinnamon for extra excitement

We haven't done tequila in weeks, so here is an all time favorite. The Paloma.

We can make this 2 ways, the craft cocktail fresh juice way, and the easy way.

Paloma Fresca
-1/2oz Lime juice
-3oz Grapefruit juice
-2oz Blanco tequila
-Topo Chico (or Soda )
-Kosher Salt
** add 1/2 oz of agave nectar if its too bitter

Rim a highball glass with the salt. Add tequila & juice. Stir. Add ice and top with Topo Chico. Add a pinch of salt on top for extra flavor.

EZ Paloma
-Some amount of tequila
-Some larger amount of Sq**rt

Add ice to the glass, pour in some tequila, pour in the sq**rt, off to the races.

Thanks .fish for the Shakey McHanderson shirt & the excuse to introduce everyone to the McHanderson brothers.
