**ADG Zone Assures No Harassment of Journalists, Investigation into False Complaints**
**Electronic Media Delegation Meets to Discuss Journalist Safety**
**Police and Journalists are Two Sides of the Same Coin, Every Possible Effort Will Be Made to Ensure Journalist Safety: ADG Zone Prayagraj**
**Prayagraj:** A delegation from the Electronic Media Club, led by the club's founder and coordinator, Virendra Pathak, met with ADG Zone Prayagraj, Bhanu Bhaskar, to discuss the safety of journalists and submitted a memorandum. The ADG assured that journalists would be protected and not subjected to harassment.
The memorandum submitted by the journalists stated that, in line with the intentions of the Uttar Pradesh government, illegal encroachments by the mafia are being cleared. However, the mafia's henchmen, in collusion with some police officers, are reoccupying the lands. When such news is broadcast, false complaints are made against the journalists. A recent incident occurred in Gaus Nagar Kareli 12 Market. When the news of the encroachment was aired, brokers, in collusion with certain police officers, filed false complaints against the journalist.
The journalists demanded that anonymous complaints be investigated to identify who is making these complaints to harass the police and journalists. They also called for an investigation into the corrupt police officers involved in illegal encroachments, bus stands, mining, and passer gangs, and for strict action to be taken against them. The journalists informed the ADG Zone that brokers and corrupt police officers are making false complaints as part of a conspiracy and then extorting money under the pretext of resolving the matter. Some individuals are also involved in this under the guise of the media.
It was decided in the meeting of the Electronic Media Club to bring these conspiracies to the attention of senior police officials and the Uttar Pradesh government, highlighting how brokers and corrupt police officers are tarnishing the government's image under the guise of the so-called media. The lands cleared from the mafia are being reoccupied.
The memorandum and demands were presented by the President of the Electronic Media Club, Dinesh Tiwari, former Presidents Sandeep Tiwari and Rajendra Gupta, Pawan Upadhyay, Pawan Patel, Rajesh Mishra, Syed Mohammad Amir, Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Arav Bhardwaj, Praveen Mishra, Mohammad Laik, Vikas Mishra, Ranjit Nishad, Nitish Soni, Dheeraj Kumar, Ashish Bhatt, Ayush Srivastava, Pankaj Shukla, Salauddin Umar, Shaymu Kushwaha, Abhinav Kesharwani, Kuldeep Shukla, T.K.
