A couple days prior, Australia has decided to adopt a new strategy to combat the coronavirus, named 'sentinel testing.' This measure is already being used in multiple other countries during their battle with their outbreaks, such as New Zealand, which adopted this last month, which is clearly a success. Sentinel Testing, in short, is where the government picks a certain group in a community and tests them to be prepared for an outbreak ahead of time. This is effective due to the concept that there could be people that are infected but haven't been tested due to unawareness of carrying the virus, and testing a group as a whole could prevent this from happening.

As the COVID-19 lockdowns go on, it is common knowledge that hundreds of companies have closed down and are experiencing substantial losses. However, in contrary to this, there are a certain Australian companies have seen a boom in sales, such as Ukulele Mate, a online store for ukuleles, (which have become the most popular instrument in Australia), and have seen sales go up by as much as 700%, as people are turning to buying something that will keep them occupied without staring at a screen 24/7. This is just one of the companies that are positively affected, however, as sales for wooden model ships, moving-out cleaning services, and visual storytelling are three other areas that have seen substantial increases in sales and/or applications.

The PS5 launch has not been delayed and looks amazing so far. We can already see multiple changes, such as the light bar will be at the sides of the touchpad instead of in front, and the controller build itself looks slightly more bulky. Some internal features that will be included will be an built-in mic, with haptic feedback making gaming experiences more immersive, along with adaptive triggers, creating more or less tension when pressing on triggers depending on the in-game
situation, such as more tension when using as bow and arrow.

With the majority of the worlds population at home streaming Netflix and Disney's theme parks closed, Netflix's stock price has surpassed entertainment giant DIsney for the first time ever. As Disney also competes with Netflix with Disney Plus, their streaming service does not produce as much income as their parks and theatrical releases, such as MCU and Star Wars films, and along with this, Disney Plus has a substantially smaller variety of movies and shows compared to Netflix's roughly 10,000 different titles.

The government have announced a $260 million cash injection for the TAFE sector, which is struggling due to obvious lack of international students, and students not affording the payments for classes. Scott Morrison, Australian PM has said that the COVID-19 restrictions in Australia will remain in place for at least on more month, as there are three points that the government aims for before the measures in place will begin to be lifted. These three goals, put simply, are as follows:

1. The government's ability to track the movements of infected
citizens should be raised to a higher capacity.
2. A better ability to respond to local outbreaks
3. The rates of testing, sentinel or otherwise, needs to be increased to ensure community transmission is no longer occurring.

The next four weeks will be utilised to attempt to reach these three goals as closely as possible, and if it is, the odds of the COVID-19-Related laws being raised is highly likely.

Scientific modelling by the Australian Government shows us the dramatic effects that social distancing places on the transmission of the coronavirus throughout the country.

The data shows that due to the measures done by the government, if 10 people have contracted the virus, the likely maximum spread of the virus is just 5 people, rather than 25 if there were no measures in place.

This modelling really puts into perspective the success of the social distancing measures that we as Australia have been conforming to, and this brings us to the notion that if we keep on practising social distancing, there is a highly likely chance that we can eliminate this virus.

Due to the coronavirus lockdowns and all the things surrounding them, Crown Resorts have made the decision to stand down 95% of their workforce, of which exceeds 10,000 employees.
