Good catch up with my man today! All my jig heads had rusted out (flooded hatch) so I whipped out the old slick rigs. What a treat! 😮‍💨

Still nursing my vocal chords back to health after all of the good banter over a few beers but alot of food at the this past weekend! I rounded up my good mate Kyle ( ) for this one and the fish really turned it on for us. The gt were quite slow but managed to wrangle the right ones when it counted. This was Kyles first time popping and he kicked off his campaign with an absolute horse! The competition within each categories always has a certain few blokes that live and breath that species. Those guys are what forced me to put the cameras down this year and give the competition the 💯 attention it needs. These guys are what makes the event what it is and without them a win just wouldn’t feel the same! Thanks everyone for the good vibes, .fish for the support, for the lures to convert the nibbles & thanks to everyone I bumped into for a chat! I love catching up with you all every year! Best comp in Aus! 💪🏽
Also special mention to the lady who works at the stanage pub for cooking us chippies when the kitchen was closed 🫶🏼

Big congrats to the bois & .fish for filling out an epic podium for the .australia & a huge thank you to the team from We all walked away from another event where we’ve gained new friendships and great memories. 2023 done and dusted!
and I fished for team .fish and managed to boat some really nice fish! There were a bunch of “if only we landed that one” moments but all in all I’m bloody stoked with our bags of fish!
To pb on a barra in a comp was a blow out!
Big shout out to all the teams who got on the board, there is some weapon fishermen/women on the Capricorn coast and it really makes for an awesome competition!

The flatty classic was all time this year!
I fished with & for team .fish and boy was it a whirlwind!
Day one, after still recovering from a tummy bug I got from the kids (cheers Kindy) I almost didn’t even fish!
There are so many layers to this plot I’m not even going to get into it! So to keep long story short, we wound up taking out “champion away team” and finished in 5th overall!
A dream result for all of us!
Special mentions to Scotty for teaching me so much about the flatfish, the man oozes experience and it was a privilege to share the deck with him! I learned a bunch. Leroy, as always for encouraging me to try my best and laying out the foundations. And last of all for sharing my bowel movements with the public! 🤣❤️
