وزیر خزانہ اسحاق ڈار نے پیٹرول اور ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 35 روپے کے بڑے اضافے کا اعلان کر دیا۔

وزیر خزانہ اسحاق ڈار کا پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے کہنا تھا پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی مصنوعی قلت کی خبریں سامنے آئیں اور عالمی منڈی میں پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں تقریباً 11 فیصد تک کا اضافہ ہوا، ہمیں ان سب چیزوں کو سامنے رکھنا پڑے گا۔

ان کا کہنا تھا پیٹرول کی قیمت میں 50 روپے فی لیٹر تک اضافے کی قیاس آرائیاں کی جا رہی ہیں، پچھلے 4 ماہ میں ایک بار بھی پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمت کو نہیں بڑھایا گیا بلکہ پیٹرول اور ڈیزل کی قیمت میں تقریباً 20 روپے تک کی کمی کی گئی جبکہ مٹی کے تیل اور لائٹ ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 29 اور 30 روپے کی کمی کی گئی۔

ان کا کہنا تھا اوگرا کی جانب سے تجویز پیش کی گئی کہ پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی مصنوعی قلت کو ختم کرنے کے لیے قیمتوں میں اضافہ کیا جائے۔

ان کا کہنا تھا وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف کی ہدایت اسٹیٹ بینک کی جانب سے جاری کردہ روپے کی قدر کے اعداد و شمار کو مد نظر رکھتے ہوئے پیٹرول اور ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 35، 35 روپے فی لیٹر جبکہ لائٹ ڈیزل اور مٹی کے تیل کی قیمت میں 18، 18 روپے فی لیٹر اضافے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

اسحاق ڈار نے بتایا کہ پیٹرول کی نئی قیمت 249 روپے 80 پیسے جبکہ ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل کی فی لیٹر قیمت 262 روپے 80 پیسے فی لیٹر ہو گی۔ اسی طرح مٹی کا تیل 189 روپے 83 پیسے فی لیٹر اور لائٹ ڈیزل آئل 187 روپے فی لیٹر میں دستیاب ہو گا۔

He said that Ogra has proposed to increase the prices of petroleum products to eliminate the artificial shortage.

He said that the directive of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, keeping in view the data of the value of the rupee issued by the State Bank, in the price of petrol and diesel, 35, 35 rupees per liter, while the price of light diesel and kerosene. I have decided to increase by Rs 18, 18 per litre.

Ishaq Dar said that the new price of petrol will be 249 rupees 80 paisa while the price of high speed diesel will be 262 rupees 80 paisa per liter. Similarly, kerosene will be available at Rs 189 83 paise per liter and light diesel oil at Rs 187 per litre.

However, while on one hand the federal government has increased the price of electricity for K-electric consumers, on the other hand Nepra has given relief to K-electric consumers in terms of fuel adjustment charges.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has reduced electricity by 2 rupees 14 paise per unit in the fuel adjustment charge in the October bill for the consumers of Karachi.

In the notification issued by Nepra, it has been stated that it has approved to reduce the price of electricity by 2 rupees 14 paisa per unit for the consumers of Karachi and this reduction has been made in the context of the monthly fuel adjustment for October.

Nepra officials say that with this decision, the electricity consumers of Karachi will get a relief of 3 billion 59 crore rupees, the decision will not be applied to the lifeline consumers of electricity.
Officials have said that K Electric generated electricity from its own resources at Rs 32 96 paise per unit, while the price of electricity purchased from CPPA was Rs 12 1 paise per unit.

Pakistan Army troops are carrying out rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas of Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday.

According to ISPR, rescue and relief efforts are underway in Hyderabad, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Jamshoro, Naushero Feroze and other flood-hit districts of Sindh.

Special Army helicopters were flown from Karachi to affected areas of interior Sindh to speed up rescue and relief efforts.

A passenger plane overturned during landing at the airport in Somalia's capital Mogadishu, luckily all 30 passengers on board were saved.

The US dollar on Monday touched historic high level of Rs 214.74 against Pakistan rupee in the interbank market after PTI’s thumping victory in by-elections triggers fears of political uncertainty in the country.

The greenback gained Rs3.79 during the intraday trading as it closed at Rs209.80 on Friday last week. Experts feared that value of the local currency could drop further by the end of today’s session.

In the open market, the greenback is being traded between Rs213 and Rs214.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday won the by-election on 15 of the 20 Punjab Assembly seats, according to unofficial results.

The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) could win only four seats, while an independent candidate too grabbed a seat.
