Our Kickstarter campaign for our psychological horror game “Sinister” has just launched! This couldn’t have been done without our marvellous team. Huge thank you to our programmer Robert Bagnato, head animator Ivan Pangilinan and writer Aiden Finlayson. Their contributions to this project have been incredible so far, bringing their creative flare to all facets of the project. Another massive thank you to the talented Mitchell Honeyman who is responsible for the haunting music score, Mackenzie Parsons for editing the trailer and Carmen Ho for helping with the animation.

I started Moon Merchant Studios in the latter part of 2021 during lockdown. I was in a rather dark place, working shopping centre security during the pandemic. I came up with the idea for “Sinister” while walking around the quiet carparks. I brought it home with me and workshopped it a little more, thinking creating a game studio would be silly, unrealistic. But I kept chipping away at it, kept making it a little more real each day. This little step each day led to recruiting a fantastic team, registering the business, and getting to the point of launching a trailer!

We have invested a lot of time and money into the project so far and now we need your help. Game development is time consuming and costly, and we love it, but for as little as fifteen dollars you can get a free copy of the game and help us achieve our vision. Every little bit counts, from a donation to a share or even just a click. We really want to create something different, that thousands of people can experience, enjoy and be terrified by. We are so proud of what we have achieved so far but look to what can be achieved in the future.
