Today we celebrated 9 years of Marriage and embarked on an epic adventure to Mackinac Island. If you ever visit Michigan this is a must. It’s a beautiful island with no cars that sits on Lake Huron near the Mighty Mac bridge , which connects the Upper Peninsula and the main land.

Upgraded our floor vents today. With the floor being flexible the vents that came with it have bent and broken. We have replaced them before and the same thing happened. These one’s just drop in and have slats to close off the vent. Here is the Before and after.

Todays Adventure takes us North, to the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City Michigan! This has been on my bucket list for a while and other than a little bit of humidity it’s a beautiful day!!!

Sometimes the adventure’s we go on aren’t fun. Just like we have good memories, we have bad ones. This Monday we lost a member of our adventure crew. Oliver was a silly kitty who loved being outside and thought the world was a super cool place to explore. He was with us for 13 years and we wish his journey didn’t have to end but we often don’t get that choice. I ask you all to love your fur babies and enjoy the amount of time we get with them. Our brave and silly kitty is missed by all who knew him.

Another easy upgrade this week are the door struts. These are awesome because I’m short and trying to hold up the door, while also pulling out what I need isn’t fun. I can add a link if anyone is interested.

Added a few more mermaid decorations in the bathroom along with a hand towel holder. This one is great because it sticks to the wall. We have a similar one for our paper towels in the kitchen and it’s held up really nice. I can add a link if anyone is interested.

We are super excited about this upgrade!! We installed a brand new home thermostat! Most of the RV ones are incredibly expensive but this was less than $40 and it works fantastic!

When they say you need to replace the Anode rod in your water heater every six months……they mean it. The old one on the left is almost 2 years old.

The Adventure for today is freezing our butt off watching Sprint Cars race on Ice.

Never been so excited to get snow!! Now I have something fluffy to land on when I fall.

The freezing rain we had the other day covered everything in slick ice and my body is black and blue from falling down the stairs!!
