So we decided to look into how different foods perform on the platform. Maybe we could learn more about users and see what is the most popular.

And the results were not shocking.

The number one most shared food on Instagram is pizza. And the engagement rates are near the top too.

Everybody does in fact love pizza. And their posts can back it up. The second most popular food posted on Instagram is burgers. But pizza outnumbers burgers 10 to 1 for photos posted.

The data also showed that the area that posts pizza most is New York. It’s no coincidence that New York pizza is one of the most popular meals in the world.

It will be interesting to see how these numbers change as the world continues to prioritize healthy eats more and more.

The three most used filters are Gingham, Clarendon, and Juno. But are these the best filters for engagement?

Not exactly.

Here are four filters that provide some of the better engagement rates: Aden, Mayfair, Clarendon, and Maven.

For every 59 times Aden is used, there is one engagement on the photo. Similar numbers apply to Mayfair (55/1) and Maven (34/1). These are decent numbers and rank well among the features.

However, Clarendon has a clear edge over all filters when analyzing engagement rates. For every 54 photos that use Clarendon, there are 5 engagements. That’s an engagement rate of over 9%.
