Mina National High School : Campus Wonderland

"Everyone should have an opportunity to Iearn in a positive environment, to enjoy the learning process, and feel comfortable and content within it."

Built atop of a windy hill located at Bangac-Talibong Grande, Mina, Iloilo, Mina National High School (MNHS)'s landscape reveals fresh air, green trees, structures full of academic knowledge, and a yellow green-colored Administration Building with orange streaks awaiting once you enter the campus. Entering the hallways and passing through bulletin boards would make the visit full of curiosity and knowledge. Aside the Admin in the campus sits the MNHS Gymnasium with white and blue streaks where programs are held.

The evergreen and strong trees gives off nice windy fresh air to the campus. The soothing environment gives relaxing and calm thoughts even amidst of a cruel summer. The Senior High Buildings gives off the yellow energy with a hint of knowledge. The seats and tables below r
the shade made by the school is perfect for anyone to sit. Memories can be made and so does new knowledge.

The ILeassTambayan infront of the Grade 12-Building is a mini-forest full of greenery and freshness. It has orange benches painted during the VAW-Campaign suitable for group studies. Near the Tambayan is the Mina Hillside Haven Center and School Clinic administrated by Mrs. Mary Renlei A. Blas. And the Guidance Office with its guidance counselor Mrs. Luna Davis.

The Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) Building which holds over 140 STE learners is a building of knowledge and research with students wearing light blue-colored uniforms with green striped fabrics. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) promotes research and is filled with research hardbounds of previous learners of the campus.

Every vacant time, my classmates and I have some time for each other. The shade below the trees gives us the time for us to talk about life. I am thankful for having Mina National High School as my first campus in highschool. As a freshman, I want to experience more in this campus.

Indeed, Mina National High School has the best qualities of a great school. The hill's wind will always reveal the treasures hidden. Smart and lifelong learners had been developed throughout decades in this institution. Here in Mina National High School, when you depart, you'll always have the urge to come back.

La Salle Lady Spikers outplay NU Lady Bulldogs in a thrilling five-set match, Game 1.

De La Salle Lady Spikers ripped off the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs, winning the first match, best-of-three games, and eking out an 18-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13 win in University Athletics Association of the Philippines( UAAP) women's volleyball Season 85 at Araneta Coliseum, May 7.

The nerve breaking deciding game left 10,995 fans aghast after Sheena Toring of the NU Lady Bulldogs landed awkwardly at Lady Spiker's Thea Gagate's foot, taking away the chance for NU to win with a score of 15-13 in favor of Lady Spikers.

Super rookie Angel Canino exhibited splendid skills, helping the La Salle Lady Spikers gain victory by finishing with 21 points built on 19 attacks, two aces, and 14 excellent receptions.

As the team played back-and-forth sets with a 2-2 deadlock (12-13 in La Salle's favor) and one of the ace players of NU was injured, Canino of the Lady Spikers took the chance and exhibited impeccable skill in the game, winning game 1.

NU Lady Bulldogs tried to match the exceptional skil
ls and tactics of Lady Spikers, yet unfortunately struggled to score with a series of failed attacks.

The reigning Most Valuable Player, Bella Belen, and Allyssa Solomon's combined effort of 50 points was insufficient to win their team in game 1.

" This is just Game 1; this is not over, so we're just going to keep at it in training."
Canino stated.

This will serve as motivation for Lady Spikers to win the next game and regain the title of UAAP women's volleyball champion.
