(Season 8 Episode 56) [ALL NEW] On the CSX Locomotives, there is a new sticker called a (((DP))) that stands for “Distributed Power”. CSX Mixed Manifest Freight Train in North East Maryland heading east on the Philadelphia Subdivision to Elkton, and All Around the State of Delaware.

They will have a sticker of the (((DP))) on some of the CSX Locomotive Engines like EMDs, Dash, Gevos, and others, but sometimes with the CSX Locomotives, they will have no sticker on it. And Distributed power is the railroad practice of placing one or more locomotives within or at the end of a train's consist to reduce in-train stresses related to braking and pulling, as well as help move trains more efficiently on territories with significant grades. Hope you new people that will understand what DP do, and those of you have already about it and understand.
