Down to the last day in August but managed to go to a library just in time!! This was the Ross-Cherry Creek branch at and yes, I was immediately pulled to the jigsaw puzzle like a moth to a flame.
Reading, gaming, living. A blog dedicated to analyzing videogames as an art form, with some literature analysis peppered in for flavor.

Shoutout to Santa Fe for acknowledging that spooky season has begun đ»
Before I post Julyâs library, I know what youâre thinking, what library did I visit in June as part of my 2024 goal to visit a new library each month? At the end of June we stopped by the Eugene Field Branch of the Denver Public Library, which was a small and pleasant little experience!
We saw Hamlet by and it was SO SO GOOD. It was an immersive experience that was so well adapted for modern times, favorite edition of Hamlet Iâve seen ever in my life. If youâre ever in Santa Fe you MUST see one of their shows!!! Incredible!!!
Visited the House of Eternal Return today, so cool!! Honestly, I prefer it over Denverâs Meow Wolf. Convergence Station was cool, but I do love messed up houses.
Volterra was cool but I didnât get to save Edward from the Volturi so kinda bummed about that I guess :(
Day 2 featuring the Uffizi, the Giardino di Boboli, and some incredible French toast. Amazing news, I found a rhinoceros in one of the paintings (âJoseph presents his Father and Brothers to Pharaohâ by Francesco Granacci). Had about a billion photos to choose from but alas, Instagram only allows for ten. ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Babyâs first Renaissance Faire!!! Our day at was such a blast and I canât wait to come back a thousand times.
Got to see a celebrity at Colorado Ren Faire, loved your work in Tears of the Kingdom đđ
Realized I never posted my library field trip from May! At the beginning of May, we visited the Castle Rock Library, part of the Douglas County Libraries () system! It was part of my goal of visiting at least one new library branch in the area for every month of 2024. Alex and I probably seemed wildly overdressed when we visited because we were headed to a wedding right after. Iâd also submitted my application to grad school for my library degree while we were there!
My fiancĂ© preordered this for my birthday last year and itâs finally here!! The Official Stardew Valley Cookbook!! Iâm beyond thrilled, itâs especially perfect timing since Iâve been replaying after version 1.6 released. I canât wait to decide what recipe to try first!
Had so much fun celebrating Mark and Codyâs wedding, so much so that I completely forgot to take any photos with my phone. Luckily, my friend Jessica is much better at remembering that lol. I especially loved making Jessica get irritated that I ruined her candid shots of us at the table by being magnetically drawn to the camera đ
Alex told me about Scranimals, a childrenâs book from 2002 that uses fun wordplay to design fantastical creatures, and I naturally put it on hold immediately when I learned about the Rhinocerose
My library quest update for April! Every month this year Iâm challenging myself to visit a public library branch in the greater Denver area that I havenât been to before! This month I stopped by the Ross-University Hills Branch of the Denver Public Library briefly while getting my carâs tires checked at an auto shop nearby. I loved all the natural light, especially in the atrium area.
I love taking a break in the middle of the workday to check out the art installations that has on display đ these are all made by students and Iâm blown away by the talent and work that went into these pieces!
It looks like sheâs mid-stretch, but I swear to you she was frozen in this position for a full minute đ
My library quest, in which I visit at least one new public library branch per month, continues! Here we have the Hampden Branch Library, part of the Denver Public Library system! There are about 27 branches in DPL, which is a ton đ± Alex and kept me sane while I worked on my final assignments for the quarter lol
Ended February with another edition to my quest to visit at least one new library per month: Bear Valley Library! Shoutout to for, once again, listening to me ramble about video games for my grad school projects. This library quest has been a huge success so far!
Visited Columbine Public Library as part of my challenge to visit at least one new library per month! I went the other day for some studying with !! Thank you for keeping me focused lol
Happy place
One of my favorite job perks is being able to have lunch on this gorgeous campus everyday with my fiancé!
Yâall, throws a great party đ

My third book in the TIMES Best 100 YA Challenge was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, a semi-autobiographical novel about a young girl in Williamsburg at the beginning of the 20th century.
