Back in Bali 🌸 it’s one of those places that truly sucks you in and you never want to leave. Maybe this time I’ll have the dreamy trip I thought I would instead of the sterile one I had in a hospital bed for 2 weeks šŸ˜‚ that’s character growth y’all. Coming back to Bali stronger than ever!

My Favorite Places in Vietnam: ā €
ā €
1. Ha Giang Loop: about 7 hours north of Vietnam near China is where you’ll find the most unreal scenery and culture. You’re very far from the chaos of the cities and you won’t find much other than incredible nature and villages every so often.ā €
ā €
2. Halong Bay: I mean, it’s Halong Bay! It’s stunning to see by boat.ā €
ā €
3. Hoi An: I really loved this charming, romantic town. It feels really different from the other towns and cities in Vietnam. It’s beautiful, there’s plenty to do, and also very cultural. ā €
ā €
Have you been to any of these destinations?

Closing out Vietnam on a high note! If you find yourself in Vietnam, you absolutely must do the Ha Giang loop. Best seen by motorcycle and you need at least 3 days. About 7 hours from Hanoi is where you’ll start and you’ll go North where you can see the China. A destination full of beautiful green and lush mountains, blue skies, colorful towns, culture, and waterfalls. It may honestly be the most beautiful place I’ve been to!

Month two of solo traveling is nearly complete. I’ve spent so much time alone this year and it is truly amazing what happens when you give yourself space to think and sit with those thoughts you otherwise ignore throughout our busy lives. I feel so much lighter, my mind feels clearer than it has in 3 years (although not completely!), and I’m starting to feel like myself again. Taking time for yourself is so important and I feel like there’s so much noise about this currently but very few people find the opportunity to actually do it.

From city life to beach town! After 4 weeks of city hopping, it was time to slow it down and find a place to rest and relax. I settled on the popular beach town, Nha Trang! ā €
ā €
Being on the road and on a budget, I decided to treat myself. The looked like a dream so… I booked it!
ā €
Located right on the beach making it so ideal for my lil vacation. Each room has a beach view so I woke up to palm trees and pretty blue water.ā €
ā €
I’d have to say the infinity pool and the rooftop bar were my favorite though. I mean, look at the pool šŸ˜. The Altitude Rooftop sits on the 28th floor and is considered the best view in town. It may or may not have this seafood tower that was not a want but a need! ā €
ā €
On top of that, you still get your Marriott Bonvoy points! ā €
ā €
So far, my stay here has been everything I was looking for.

44// One of the most diverse countries in Asia with an incredible food scene. It’s also a a country that is skipped in favor for its neighbors. Indonesia left me traumatized slightly so I had to hop to the next one. Excited to explore this beautiful country šŸ‡²šŸ‡¾

After a few days in Uluwatu, we caught a ferry to Gili Trawangan, the largest Gili of the 3. [save for later!]ā €
ā €
ā €
There’s so much to see in Bali and I’m not done with it but I wanted to explore some of the different islands. Did you know that Indonesia has over 17,000 islands?! ā €
ā €
Gili Trawangan is known as the lively island, known for its parties but also as the more touristy one. I would’ve loved to see the other two but I’ll just have to come back next time.ā €
ā €
To get here, you need to get to Padang Bai… a port 2 hours away from South Bali and then you take a fast boat for another 2 hours. A ferry ticket can cost anywhere from $20-30, depending on the exchange rate and negotiating skills. ā €
ā €
Bali is mainly Hindu but the country is primarily Muslim, including Gili T. The small island has 3 mosques and you can hear the adhaan (call to prayer) 5 times a day. ā €
ā €
Gili T does not have any cars or scooters, most people get around by bicycle. You can rent them for 30-50K IDR for the day. It’ll take you about 1 hour to bike the whole island. ā €
ā €
If you’re looking for nightlife, there’s only a few places to go to and the day for which to go to rotates. You’ll wanna remember Sama Sama, Irish Bar, and Jungle. There’s also some fun spots on the beach with djs. ā €
ā €
Have you heard of the Gili Islands?

Nearly 3 weeks in Bali and there’s still so much to cover! I thought I’d be better about documenting and sharing but I’ve found myself on my phone less. Highlights of the trip so far: ā €
ā €
• Bringing together 16 people from around the world to travel with me and seeing how much fun they had… a feeling I’ll never forget. Building a community and bringing people together is so important to me. ā €
ā €
• Hiking Mt. Batur at sunrise… waking up at 2am to start hiking at 3am, in the dark with flashlights, to make it by sunrise. ā €
ā €
• Solo days in Canggu, having time to reflect, journal, and have one too many coffeesā €
ā €
• Celebrating my birthday in Uluwatu with my friend, feeling loved around the world, and living in luxury for 2 days ā €
ā €
• Visiting Nusa Penida and Gili T, it’s been great to go venture off. I’m really looking forward to exploring more of the various islands that are less traveled. ā €
ā €
I have more time in Bali so I can’t wait to see what I get up to! If you’ve been to Bali, what were your highlights?

I read this somewhere and it’s stuck with me since…⠀
ā €
Life is meant to be lived.ā €
You have to chase the things that ignite you. You have to do the things that bring you joy. You have to surround yourself with theā €
people who bring you back home to yourself, with the people who respect you and embrace you in ways that make you feel like youā €
are worthy and accepted and loved. ā €
ā €
ā €
You have to do the work to heal yourself, even when it hurts especially when it hurts, soā €
that you do not continue to approach your life within the boundary of what is heavy within you. ā €
ā €
You have to put yourself out there, and you cannot worry about what other people think, you cannot rob yourself of experience or happiness or inspiration because youā €
are scared of how you will be perceived. ā €
ā €
You have to be unapologetic in the way that you exist here. You have to believe that your ideas, and your hope, and your being, deserve to take up space. You have to believe that you have purpose.ā €
ā €
Because our existence is finite. And as hard as that is to understand, as hard as that can be to connect with, from time to time remind yourself that in the most human way we are allā €
living on borrowed time.ā €
ā €
We live as if we are promised the experiences and the potential we are chasing, we live as if we have control over what happens to us. But we don't, and that is liberating, because it is pressing there is urgency within the lesson. It is meant to wake you up.
