INI COUNCIL BOSS PRESENTS OFFICIAL CAR TO THE VICE CHAIRMAN

The Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin has presented a Toyota Highlander to his Vice, Hon Marcus Akpan as his official vehicle.

The Council helmsman while making the presentation today 15th December, 2022 at Ini Council Secretariat, Odoro Ikpe stressed that the provision of the Vice Chairman's official car was to aid him in the acceleration of his official duties; and as well help him in carrying out those official duties effectively. He also dedicated the car to the Almighty God, praying for continued safety of the Vice Chairman as he prepared to engage the vehicle in all of his official assignments.

Responding, the Vice Chairman Hon. Marcus Akpan, expressed gratitude for the chairman's magnanimity and posited that the vehicle will go a long way to help in the discharge of his duties for the benefits of Ini people while pledging his unalloyed support and loyalty to the council boss.

2023 ELECTIONS: AKISEIC HOLDS A TOWN HALL SENSITIZATION/ENLIGHTENMENT MEETING WITH IKONO-INI STAKEHOLDERS.

In a bid to promote active involvement in 2023 general elections and to encourage voters participation, the Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin JP, earlier today 9th December, 2022 received the delegation from Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission.(AKISIEC), led by the Chairman, Elder Aniedi Ikoiwak at the Ikono Local Government Council, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo.

According to the AKISEIC boss, the aim of the town hall meeting was to sensitize and enlighten stakeholders from IKono-Ini Federal Constituency about the 70% newly voters cards that were yet to be collected. He stressed that 327,711 Akwa Ibomites registered, and about 28% of the said figure has been declared invalid by INEC as a result of double registration. The AKISIEC Chairman also elaborated on basic rules and procedures bordering the innovative technology, Bimodal Voting Accreditation System (BVAS).

The Council Helmsman while welcoming the team to Ikono-Ini Federal Constituency, commended the AKISIEC Boss and his delegation for the initiative by bringing the sensitization train down to the grassroot. The Council Boss also assured the team of the stakeholders support while urging them not to relent in their positive impacts towards educating and informing the electorates on the latest development regarding next year's election. Speaking further, he added that the sensitization tour was timely as the build up to 2023 elections gains momentum. Hon. Idaisin also advised stakeholders to ensure that the people at the grassroots do not allow themselves to be disfranchised, by seizing the available opportunity to go out and collect their voter's cards after registration. He also stressed that the voter's card is a legal tool for every Nigerian to use in voting a candidate of his/her choice, devoid of intimidation or manipulation.

The Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin JP, earlier today Friday 2nd November, 2022, led the Executive and the Local Government employees of Ini Local Government Council to pay respect to the family of the Director Admin, Ini LG Council, Mrs. Itonanwa Robert Mfon over the demise of her Mother-in-law, Late Madam Alice Etim Okon Mfon, whose departure occurred at the age of 80.

The funeral which took place at Poly Clinic Field, Mkpanak, Ibeno, Aks was conducted by Deeper Life Bible Church, Mkpanak Group of District.

STRATEGIC MEETING

The Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin today, 16th November, 2022 attended a One-Day Strategic Meeting with the Akwa Ibom State Government under the agency of Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), a World Bank assisted project organized by the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Agriculture at Amunice Event Center, Aka-Itiam, Uyo.

The strategic meeting was targeted to all Local Government Policy Makers in Akwa Ibom State. During the course of the event, it was convincing to believe that the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project has the capacity and mandate to enhance access to farmlands by threshold rural farmers, especially women and youths for increased productivity and wealth-sharing.

INI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA HAS NEVER FAILED BEFORE IN DELIVERING PDP - Ini Council Boss.

Amidst funfair, the Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin graced the grand finale of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) ward sensitization tour in Ikpe ward 2, at the Presbyterian Primary School, Ikpe Ikot Nkon.

The Council Boss, who acknowledged the PDP's remarkable efforts and landmark achievements across Ini Local Government Area also noted that Ini L.G.A has never failed in delivering PDP and vowed that as always, the people of Ini will mobilize supports for the party's overall victory come 2023.

INI COUNCIL BOSS HEAPS PRAISES ON AKS PDP GOVT ON THE CREATION OF IKONO CLAN AT INI LGA WARD 7 SENSITIZATION TOUR.

In continuation of People's Democratic Party (PDP) ward sensitization tour, the good people of Ikono North II, Ward 7, the political ward of the Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin, today 1st November, 2022 caused the town to be agog as candidates of PDP (Senate, Federal House of Reps and State House) for the upcoming elections paid them a visit.

The Council Boss in his opening speech welcomed and also thanked the crowd for coming out in huge numbers, stating that it shows the love and commitment they have for the leadership of PDP in ward 7, Ini Local Government Area and Akwa Ibom State at large. He also urged them to support the succession plan of Governor Udom Emmanuel in Akwa Ibom State which will birth Pastor Umo Eno as the next Governor of AKS.

Speaking further, he thanked the people of ward 7 for their unflinching supports to the party, urging them to always remain focused with the hope that all PDP flag bearers will surely deliver on their campaign promises, while reaffirming his commitment to stand on the side of victory, as PDP leadership in the Local Government and State levels have brought meaningful development to the area, one of such is the creation of Ikono Clan in Ini Local Government Area, while being grateful to the father of the party, Gov. Udom Emmanuel for the feats achieved in his administration as the Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Council.

The council helmsman made it known that candidates of PDP are indeed grassrooters, that Ini L.G.A will surely benefit from the party's choice. The event which was aimed at showcasing the Party’s candidates for the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem; Federal House of Representatives, Dr. Glory Edet and Mr. Lawrence Udoide for Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly to members of the public ahead of the February 2023 elections. WE MUST MOBILIZE FOR PDP

Ahead of the ward sensitization tour of the Peoples Democratic Party tomorrow, 1st November, 2022 in Ikono North II ward 7, the Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Israel Idaisin has harped on the need to rally the people of ward 7 from all walks of life in the quest of maintaining the winning ways of PDP in the area.

The meeting which was held at the Uyo residence of the Ini Council Boss was made up of Elders and political appointees of ward 7, Ini Local Government Area. The Council Helmsman also discussed on the need for the elders to mobilize, remain united, and eschew divisive tendencies as the nation inches closer to the 2023 polls.

"Beyond members of our party in ward 7, we as leaders must work assiduously to mobilize ward 7 and Ini Local Government Area as a whole and pass the message of the good works of PDP at different units of ward 7 in the hope that the remaining fragment of members of other political parties will join hands with us to deliver all the candidates of PDP in 2023."

The gathering like any other meetings held by the council Boss in recent times was to keep the party (PDP) united with the determination to strengthen the party through every legitimate means possible in carrying everybody along while approaching all issues related to the party with courage, commitment, sincerity, discipline as well as examples and eschew unnecessary biases capable of destroying the party.

"That we must work as a team with the state leadership of our party especially, the ward chairman and unit heads in ward 7 under our watch as critical stakeholders for the overall victory of our dear party come 2023. AKHA LG C'TTEE: INI COUNCILLORS DENY PRONOUNCEMENT OF EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN'S IMPEACHMENT

The eleven Councillors of Ini Local Government Legislative Council have denied the impeachment story of the Executive Chairman, Rt. Hon. Israel Idaisin which filtered into the media space few weeks ago.

They made the clarification today while appearing before the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, chaired by Rt. Hon Mark Esset as hearing commenced on the crisis within the LG Council.

The Committee while taking comments from the Councillors noted that the impeachment saga on the Executive Chairman of Ini LGA was a misinformation as Councillors denied the news emanating from them.

According to Councillor representing Ikpe Ward 2, Hon Odudu Offiong said "We only moved a vote of 'No Confidence' on the Executive Chairman while the impeachment was against the Leader of the House, Hon Ukpe Uma Ukpe."

Going further from the House Committee's findings, the impeachment move did not follow constituted procedure and before the House Committee it remains invalid. This was strengthened by the embattled Chairman and Councillors who acknowledged that there was no impeachment letter served to the Chairman before such consideration by the Councillors.

The petition entitled, 'NOTICE OF ALLEGATION OF GROSS MISCONDUCT, MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS, NON-PRESENTATION OF MONTHLY INCOME AND EXPENDITURES OF THE COUNCIL, CONDUCTS LIKELY TO BREACH THE PEACE IN INI LGA AGAINST RT. HON ISRAEL IDAISIN THE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN,' was signed by seven (7) out of eleven (11) Councillors that constitute Ini Legislative Council.

Furthermore, going into the wordings of the petition as submitted to the House by the seven (7) aggrieved Councillors, it is alleged that the Executive Chairman, Hon Israel Idaisin does not tender statement of income and expenditure since inception of office.

Amongst other allegations, the Chairman was accused of is non-payment of imprest since inception on December 10, 2019 till July 2022 with excuses of zero allocations. But it is on record that eight (8) Councillors have been paid the sum of N2million each which the embattled Chairman promised to balance up and pay in full the remaining Councillors who are yet to receive theirs. Also, non payment of legislative runnings which was not paid till March 2021 was amongst the allegations which the Councillors pressed for the arrears to be cleared.

Considering the myriad of complaints of the Councillors, the House Committee considered the plea of the Executive Chairman who said he was not in the right frame of mind to respond to the allegations leveled against him. The Committee excused the Chairman to send in his written response before next hearing.

The House Committee ordered that its Clerk, Cmd Uduak Okon to invite the following officers of Ini LG Council to appear in the next hearing. They are; former Cashier, the current Cashier, Director of Finance, Clerk and the Sergeant at Arms, all of Ini LG Council.

The Committee of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs urged the Executive Chairman, Councillors and other officers of LG Council to go back and maintain peace pending the House decision on the matter.

"This Committee will not play favouritism but will be very objective while considering this matter and at the end anyone culpable will be brought to book and the law will be allowed to take its full course,"

Other Members of the Committee who were present during the session included; Rt. Hon. Effiong Bassey of Oron/Udunguko, Rt. Hon. David Lawrence of Eket, Rt. Hon. Uduak Odudoh of Ikot Abasi/Eastern Obolo, Hon. Godwin Ekpo of Ibiono Ibom, Hon. Charity Ido of Ukanafun, Hon. Victor Ekwere of Mkpat Enin and Hon. Otobong Bob of Nsit Ubium.

Meanwhile, next session for the hearing is slated for Wednesday, October 5, 2022 by 10:00 hours.

(Elder) Israel Idaisin joined His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and other top government functionaries at the Swearing-In and Presentation of Staff of Office to the newly recognized Paramount Ruler of Ini Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Udoette Edon, Osung V of Nkari Clan. The new Paramount Ruler until his swearing was the Clan Head of Nkari and the longest serving Clan Head in Ini Local Government Area.

The event also witnessed the presentation of certificate of recognition to the new Clan Head of Ikpe Clan, His Highness, Chief Monday Solomon Udo who until his recognition was the Village Head of Ekoi Ikpe in Ini LGA.

The Council Boss also reaffirmed his support and commitment for the victories of all the PDP candidates at next year's general elections.

ELDER IDAISIN MINI BUS EMPOWERMENT: THE TRUTH, BLACKMAIL AND THE WILL TO SERVE

In his quest to alleviate the sufferings and the yearnings of Ini people and in his determination to provide affordable and sustainable means of transportations; the executive chairman of Ini Local Government Are, Rt.Hon. Israel Idaisin has been blackmailed by proponents of political mediocrity.

Setting the record in it proper perspective, it could be recalled that during the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the creation of Ini Local Government Area, the Council Boss empowered 15 citizens of Ini LGA with sustainable and profitable means of livelihood through the transportation sector; therefore solving the transportation needs in the area. Today, the same kind gesture done by the council Boss has being used against him as some persons are blackmailing the Ini Council Boss of empowering YPP members ahead of 2023 election. It beats sane imagination, why they are bent in their usual stock in thread to spread false news and thereby threatening the peace and unity our dear Party, the PDP has been enjoying since 1999.

In the light of their blackmails, arises some thought provoking questions thus;

1. Was there any party in Ini Local Government Area called YPP during the period of the said empowerment?

2. Are those people that were empowered by the council helmsman not PDP members?

3. Was the empowerment not ment to alleviate the living condition of the teaming supporters of PDP in their respective wards and villages?

In their folly, they forget too soon that the Council Boss empowered the PDP family in Ini LGA, starting from the Chapter Woman Leader, Ward Chairman, Secretary and Youth leaders of our Party (PDP) cutting across all the wards in Ini LGA. The aim of that empowerment was to ease transportation needs of the people but it has been politicized and therefore rendering the lofty idea of the Elder. Idaisin inconsequential.

Additionally, those Buses were given under Ini LGA Mass Transit and under the agreement was that the beneficiaries were to remit the sum of Ten thousand Naira monthly for renewal of terms and references which would have generated revenue to the council by daily purchase of tickets at the designated locations but none of the beneficiaries had compiled to the terms and conditions. It could also be recalled that a certain person made an attempt to sell out the Mini Buss given to him by the Council Boss but not for the prompt intervention of our security personnels, the Bus was impounded at Ikot Ekpene police station and the case file is still there at the police station. By the magnanimity of the Chairman and also to avoid this distorting blackmails, he released the Bus to the same person. Also, the Buses were also meant to ease the mobilization campaign for our PDP candidates at all levels, the Special Assistance to Ini Local Council on Transportation matters called all the beneficiaries that they should release the Buses for onward branding of PDP insignia ahead of 2023 election and again, they bluntly refused the branding thereby rejecting the trade mark our party and candidates.

Going by the foregoing, who should be tagged as playing anti party activities? Should it be Elder Idaisin who worked for the successes of the party or those who stood against the party success? Let sane mind judge!

Admist the falsehood spread against the Chief Security officer of Ini Local Government Area, that he empowered YPP members with Mini Buses, we urged our people to discard the fabricated blackmail which emanated from the pit of hell and should be disregarded as the Council helmsman is one million miles away from YPP members.

In conclusion, irrespective of the fabricated lies labelled against the first citizen of Ini Local Government Area, it will never deter him in continuing in his effort to offer good governance to his people, providing dividends of democracy and justifying the people oriented manifestoes of our great party - the PDP.
