This article shares a lot of information facts such as twenty-two percent more forests were lost between August 2020 and July 2021, deforestation in Brazil has increased due to the mining and agriculture in the Amazon, and only about 60 percent of the Amazon Rainforest lies in Brazil and the rest goes over land in eight other countries.

The data comes just weeks after Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro signed an agreement at the COP26 climate summit pledging to end deforestation by 2030.
