From the remnants of the fabric you will need four circles. Fold your fabric in half, then in half again to have four layers. Using a 12″ tire or spare part, draw the shape of your circle and carefully cut the four layers. Set aside.

This was my first time making oven gloves, and they came together pretty quickly, despite some sewing mistakes at first. Nothing says summer like palm leaves! Me, Kara, I’m so excited that summer is finally here and I’m about to give my house a little summer refreshment. I add Pineapple, palm leaves and Pops of sun yellow. Of course, this DIY palm leaf soap is the perfect addition to my bathroom to give it the summery feel. My children have had hooded bath towels for years on the theme of favorite animals that looked their age, so I decided that it was time to buy new ones. Instead of going to the local store with the inexpensive versions, I decided to personalize a set for my two younger ones that better suits their personality. It’s just another of those ways to find a middle ground between your tastes and mine while adding another special handmade touch at home. There are pros and cons to making your creative passion a profession. The obvious advantage is that you can at least partially spend your working days doing something you love! The biggest drawback I’ve experienced is that your professional life can overtake your creative life over time. The thing that was once your biggest hobby may no longer be what helps you relax. Ask everyone who makes a living with creative work.

The fun and intensity of a public competition encourages the team to work closely together to create the best design possible.
