Nyamira County Referral Hospital Denies Claims Patients Are Buying Water.

This follows damaging allegations made by social media users who re-shared an image of a woman at the institution's gate carrying a 20-litre jerrican believed to be containing water.
"Imagine carrying your 20 litre jerrican while in pain and crossing the nine million gate that was done by a friend of the governor Amos Nyaribo. From water you'll be asked to carry your own medicine, bring your own doctors," wrote Africa my home.
Speaking to kebirigo gossips , Dr Mokua Ombati, the hospital's medical superintendent, dispelled the reports and assured that there was adequate water flowing in the hospital, adding that they even supply a section of the public with the commodity since they have a surplus.

"It has come to our attention of clips making rounds on social media of a woman at the main gate of Nyamira County Referral Hospital carrying a jerrycan of water. It is important to note that there is water flowing in the hospital and patients receiving services that need water are being attended to. We even supply water from the hospital to the public at the main gate," he said.
