Pass it On with Amy Warren Connecting parents and teens to discuss hard questions and pass on the historic Christian faith. Amy is a homeschooling mom.

Amaris "Amy" Olivencia Warren was born and raised in North Philadelphia by Puerto Rican parents. At 13, she surrendered her life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ at an inner-city evangelical outreach service. Since then, she has dedicated her life to ministry working with teenagers in varying capacities and training leaders. Amy has an undergraduate degree in Christian ministry and a Master of Arts

degree in Religion with emphasis on Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary. She is a Commissioned Fellow with the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, a graduate of Frank Turek's Cross Examined Instructor's Academy, and a College Prep Chapter Director for Ration Christi. Amy's no-nonsense delivery of important biblical truths captures the attention of both young and old. She is a conference speaker, teacher, and directs the youth ministry at her local church. She and her husband, Mark, have two teenage daughters who walk with the Lord and use their gifts and talents within the local church.

Let's be diligent to check the "Christian" Children's books that make their way into our homes. I purchased this book from a used bookstore. My understanding is that it has been revised, but others have mentioned the poor theology presented in the author’s other books also. Here is a child reading this book and this particular page at 2:28 that was posted 2 years ago to youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swkqTw8Bn_4

"Billy Porter might use the word “grace,” but upon his lips it is an empty cypher that connotes nothing but feckless sentimentalism and impotence in the face of an overwhelming reality—death—to which he has no response. And, most tragically of all, he and his friends seem to think that is something to celebrate. Desecrating the cathedral is not the only thing they should be ashamed of."

As the Christian transformation of the Roman Empire was marked by the turning of pagan temples into churches, so we can expect the reverse to take place when a culture paganizes.

30% of Gen Z identify as LGBTQ. It is also the most atheistic generation in our history. These are the children/grandchildren of the Jesus People Movement of the 60s/70s. We must be intentionally discipling our children at home if we are to pass on the historic Christian faith.

I took my daughter to the mall today and snapped this photo of a tshirt in a store window available for sale. Our children today are bombarded with atheistic ideas. If there is no God, there are no demons, and messages like these have no weight. Millennia of human experience have proven the dangers of taking evil lightly. Evil does not deal lightly with our children. “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy” John 10:10. We must disciple our children.

Moms, you are not the standard for your children. Christ is. Whatever mistakes you made in the past, leave them at the cross. Your job is to take your children by the hand and guide them to the holiness, perfection, and grace of our merciful King. Our job is not to make them moral, our job is to help them see that they are broken and need a relationship with Jesus Christ; to pray that they will surrender their lives to Him; and that they will be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Every mistake they make, every heartache they experience, every trial they endure will be used by a Holy, Omniscient God for the ultimate good of His people. There is no greater peace to a mom's heart than these truths.

Washington Bill Removes Parental Rights

This month, Washington state lawmakers passed a bill that permits youth shelters to hide runaway youth seeking “protected health care services.” These services include so-called “gender transition” and abortion. Shelters are not required to notify families who are not supportive of these services. Instead, shelters can now report the youth to a state department, which can then make service referrals.

Lawmakers claim the bill is necessary to “protect” minors who experience gender dysphoria, assuming children are better protected by the state than their parents. Nothing could be further from the truth. Parents should not become suspects of the state for refusing their children something as harmful and irreversible as “transition” procedures.

There are times when the state must step in to protect kids from abusive parents. But drastic measures should be the exception, not the presumption; especially when it’s over a brand-new, harmful ideology from which the rest of the world is backing off.

Did you know St. Patrick wasn't even Irish? Who was he, and why is it good for Christians to know about him? As schools celebrate St. Patrick's Day with leprechauns, rainbows, and pots of gold, be sure to share this incredible TRUE story with your kids. It provides a deep sense of Christianity's impact on different parts of the world and helps them see the transformative power of the faith throughout history.
