If youâre a parent of autistic children, have autistic love ones, or believe you may be autistic check this out. A lot of the signs you see online is for autistic children but it doesnât go away as an adultâŚ.it just evolves. When my oldest was diagnosed I didnât think I could be because of the traits they showed online after futher research and understanding (thinking out the box bc autistic ppl are literal thinkersâŚ.I realized that I was autistic as wellâŚ.

I was diagnosed with being autistic (as well as having ADHD, anxiety and CPTSD) in September of 2022 after self diagnosing (after 50+ hours of research through books and articles, while using TikTok to learn about other ppl experiences and learn more) in the May of 2022. I am a mama of 2 and my 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with being autistic with ADHD in April 2021 and my 2 year old is more than likely is AuDHD (autistic with ADHD) as well. We are not the representation of being autistic that most think of when they think Autism.
This is why I share my story. I want to show others that we do exist. I want other to know they are not alone. AnywaysâŚI hope you all have a great day and be sure to follow me on all platforms especially TikTok and Instagram @theautistic_Demigirl
A lot of people contribute their autistic traits as being ADHD traits and vice versa. Since the rate is so high to have both I agree with @jenna.frieds when she states to explore both. As a person that was diagnosed with having ADHD as well as being autistic at the same time I wouldnât know one without the other but a lot ppl do and I thought I would shareâŚ
Why thereâs been an influx of Women (AFAB) and BIPOC people being late diagnosed
