Marami sa atin ang hirap sumita ng kaibigan o kamag-anak na nag-share ng fake news o maling impormasyon, ang iba naman sa atin lumilitaw ang pagiging “non-confrontational,” kaya pinipili ng ilan sa atin na balewalain na lang kung may kakilala tayong nag-share ng maling balita.

Isa ka rin ba sa ilang mga tao na may duda sa bakuna? O may takot sa ibang sabi-sabi na may masamang epekto ito sa katawan?

Huwag mabahala! Ayon sa FDA, ang pagbabakuna ay hindi lamang pamproteksyon sa sariling katawan, ngunit pinoprotektahan din nito ang ating pamilya. Lahat ng bakuna na pinahintulutan ng FDA ay siguradong epektibo at ligtas sapagkat ito ay pinag-aralang mabuti para sa kaligtasan ng bawat isa.

Ayon sa World Health Organization o WHO, nananatili pa ring isang malaking suliranin ng maraming mga bansa ang vaccine hesitancy.

Kaya naman ating panoorin ang interview na ito kasama si Mrs. Glenda A. Javier na isang Brangay Health Worker o BHW sa loob ng 13 years at dahil parte ng A1 category siya ay fully vaccinated na rin.

𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗟, 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗧, 𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗡: 𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

is a campaign launched by the Communication students of LPU-Laguna that aims to tackle the current situation of the students in this time of online and distance learning. Also, as the title of the campaign implies, the team behind this project aims to send out the message that despite what is currently happening, as students they are one, and they will rise above this situation no matter what.

#𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

Part of their campaign is to show the real-life situation of students in this distance and online learning setup. Students who live in areas with little to no signal for internet connection, students who lack the necessary gadgets to ease and make their online learning experiences better, not to mention those working students who are struggling in keeping up with their classes and their work, while keeping their health in check.

Melanie Montermoso, a 2nd year Broadcasting student at Bicol University shared her difficulties in this current learning setup implemented by the government due to the coronavirus pandemic. She is just one of the many students who lack the necessary gadgets and resources for online classes to better and easily take place. For someone who lives in an area where internet connection is nowhere near stable, she still needs to go to the nearby barangay just to attend her classes, as well as to download all her requirements and research the necessary and supplemental readings for it.

Just like Melanie, the second year Education student at West Visayas University, Rjay Castor, shared the same difficulties. But unlike Melanie, Rjay is receiving load allowances from their municipality after his post about online classes went viral.

Another student shares the same sentiments although this time, her experiences are a bit different compared to the former two. Jan Dominique Agravante, a 4th-year Business Administration student at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, is also working in a famous fast-food chain to provide for her education and somehow ease her family’s financial problems. Jan’s story went viral when a photo of her attending her online classes during her break at work was posted online by a colleague.

#𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

Aside from creating a segment where students like Melanie, Rjay, and Jan can share their struggles during this online learning setup, the team behind the campaign, “Aral, Angat, Ahon”, also made sure that they can send out help even with their mere words.

The team established as part of their campaign where they post materials with tips on how to become efficient during their online classes, as well as tips to help them cope up during these unprecedented times.

Yancy Justo, the head of the campaign, stated the importance of conducting a campaign such as this especially during these trying times where most people are vulnerable to stress.

“𝘕𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯 𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘪 𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘷𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘯𝘢 𝘪𝘵𝘰, 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘢 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯.” He also added that this campaign is not only helpful for the students, but as well as to the professors and parents, in a way that they will be informed of the kind of situation that their students and children are in.

Carl Linang, the Associate Project Head of the campaign also mentioned that through this campaign, they have given “𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴”, not to mention that their “𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴.”

Despite the current situation and the current learning setup, a communication campaign such as this is an avenue where students can gather and be reminded that they are not alone. Also, a communication campaign such as this is “𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴”, Gerby Muya, consultant of the campaign.

Anna Kagaoan, also the consultant of the campaign, emphasized the need for a project like this “𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦”, as well as to know “𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴” like this one we are in.

And just like how they cry their tagline - 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘢-𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨-𝘈𝘙𝘈𝘓, 𝘶𝘮𝘈𝘕𝘎𝘈𝘛, 𝘢𝘵 𝘶𝘮𝘈𝘏𝘖𝘕 𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘩𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘺𝘢 - the campaign, “𝘼𝙧𝙖𝙡, 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙩, 𝘼𝙝𝙤𝙣”, made sure that they send out the message of studying together and rising above during these trying times.
