WFH BUDDY + PPP Loan:

I posted this on my story yesterday, and thought it should live here too. This is my WFH buddy, Baby Bella. Most days she hangs nearby with me and I am so grateful 🥹💗

And I know y’all see my setup in videos and pictures and allll of that, and never thought to mention it previously, however, this setup right here was a direct benefit of the PPP loan from 2020. 🚀💯

I wouldn’t have been able to pivot as effectively or efficiently as I had without out it. And, countless community events, music fundraising festivals and more wouldn’t have occurred without it, too.

It’s been a tool and offering for community, and a lot of fun to play with as a creative.

I know a lot of big biz used those PPP loans in uncool ways, and after some DMs I got celebrating the win of me getting one, I wanted to make sure you had the info, too.

These last 3 years have been a wild ride, and this lil setup has made a huuuuuuuuge difference in my work.

Intuition & Aligned Community:
The other week I was hunting down a quote that I had once done a freestyle track to.

I had originally heard the quote during a big transition back in 2016/2017, and as I’m in the midst of another transition, I wanted to have the quote at the forefront of my mind as an affirmation. Remembering how it activated me then, and wanting to bring that same energy to the now.

Later that week I get a hit to hit up to see if there’s anything brewing at we could co-dream on.

Long story short, I got to support an event was speaking on, while being a part of a attempt. I sense the universe is reminding me of where to focus, and what to listen to, and that I’m deeply on my path now.

And gifting me with being able to be around an amazing community for a couple of days with incredible speakers.

I’ve been in settle mode after relocating to my new casita. I’m poking my head out of the nesting to share about a new offering I am soooooo excited to share about.

For the last two years, I’ve been partnering with two rad souls to cultivate some wonderful experiences. Our main focus has been what we are calling the .

During these sessions, we each share our gifts to cultivate a deeply grounding, intentional healing space and cleansing experience.

Hi sweet ones. How’s it going? Thank you for being tuned in here, for the work you’re up to, and for the being you are.

Dropping in here to share a little about what I’ve been up to, what’s brewing and how you can get connected with me.

I’ve been stewing on how to show up more fully me with all I partake in. What keeps coming up when I marinate on that is… using my voice more within this space. Being so behind the scenes, the more events I support, the less I am using my voice as I am the person behind the curtain, and my work is centered on elevating, holding space and managing things for the folks presenting… which I LOVE doing.

Once that came through, so did the podcast interview requests, and the new name for my podcast ☺️

Happy February. Happy 2022. Happy Vibes. Been MIA from the interwebs as I was making a big transition. Which has got me thinking about the ebbs and flow that exist. The rebirth process. How we can cultivate containers for ourselves to breathe into, and hold space during the shifts of life.

My intention for the rest of this year is to continue to hold grounded, loving energy internally and to bring that to all I get to do and support this year.

Just completed a three days with this Client and had allll the fun with the team as we supported those in attendance who were diving deep.

You might’ve seen some stories I posted this weekend while we were in session. 🤗

This Client’s work teaches femme folks how to generate cash flow, manage their finances, and the path to coming financially free… in a really tangible way.

What I love most is how she encourages folks to start where they are, and how she’s actually connected to the journey of rebuilding after losing it all, and how truly connected to her community she is. 🧡

🎙 LAUNCHED A NEW PODCAST TODAY…
Well, kind of. 😉 When you look it up, you’ll notice we are on Episode 006. Wanna know why?

Of course you do 😆.

I launched a podcast in 2019, recorded the launch sequence of episodes and then realized it wasn’t what I wanted. The structure and the content felt limiting, and so, I’ve literally been working behind the scenes since testing out ideas for other iterations of a podcast.

And well, it finally hit me like a download directly out of heaven… and so, kids, that’s how I met your mother. Ooops, I mean, and that’s how we got to episode 006.

Hola!! I’m Vida. I am a Spoken Word artist, Community and Business Builder.

My pronouns are they/them. I am Mexican, Indigenous and Scandinavian. Im q***r af. Born and raised in San José, CA. I’ve lived in Tempe, AZ (for school), LA twice and Sacramento twice (yea, I’m a bit of a nomad). Currently riding out this pandemic with family in the Bay Area.

You’re here either because you saw me support one of my Clients, are one of my Clients, saw me speak at an event or are a fan of my music, or in Community with me. Regardless of how you found me, I’m uber grateful you’re here. ✨

I support women, non-binary folks and gender non-conforming beings who are Community Leaders and Builders with all things A/V, Music and Technology for Events and Projects. I focus on these things such that my Clients can show up and focus on cultivating connection with their Community Members. ✨✨

Things to know about interacting with me and hiring me...

I center my q***r and my fellow BBIPOC loves. I actively advocate for anti-racism, equity, inclusion, justice, consent and trauma-informed leadership in all spaces I am invited to and ones I cultivate.

If that’s not something you’re onboard for, I am not the person you will wanna hire if you are OK with the status quo.

If we do work together, I will your biggest champion as well as that for your Community Members and Team.

While I am hired for my Tech know how and DJing skills, I very loudly use my Business as a tool to encourage Community Leaders and Builders to focus on deeper inclusion and Liberation within their spaces.

I understand that by advocating for you to expand your Leadership and recognize that your Community can be a tool to actualize Liberation and Justice that we can collectively shift futures, narratives and cultivate a shared future where we all can win. 🙏🏽
