Teams from 8 countries around the world participated in the colorful international fireworks competition held in the Russian capital, Moscow.

Shahid Mahmood Butt led the Pakistani fireball team and performed brilliantly.

Spectacular fireworks colored the night sky. Fireworks were set off on the occasion of August 14 by the Pakistani team on the song 'Is Parcham Ke Sai Tale Hum Ek Hain'.

The Pakistani team was declared successful in the competition and the team received the trophy under the leadership of Shahid Mahmood Butt.

Siyal Khan, a rabab player from Pakistan, posted a video of him playing the Indian national anthem. Rabab is a string instrument, similar to the lute. It is quite popular in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Kashmir.
In the video, Siyal Khan plays the 'Jana Gana Mana' on his rabab with serene mountains and greenery in the backdrop.

“Here's a gift for my viewers across the border," he wrote while posting the video.

Google changed its logo to celebrate Pakistan's independence day.

This is not the first time that Google has featured a doodle for any Pakistani event, last year on 14th August as well, Google dedicated their doodle to celebrate Pakistan's independence day.
