Bird Runes & Charms Leaked!

Loving the excitement around Origin. Was a joy to play it in front of you all today!
Some key points I want to emphasize:
• Turn timer will be set to 45 seconds (not 90 as in the stream).
• Runes and charms introduce vertical progression for Axies. Infinite combinations.
• There will be overpowered combinations in the initial soft launch. We will be carefully reviewing feedback and data to rapidly balance the game in the initial phases.
• Wednesday's launch will be playable through Mavis hub on desktop.
• There will not be any token economy in the initial launch. That would also be unfair to mobile users.
• Origin will be built together alongside the community. We'll be going through your feedback in detail as a team to surface actionable insights and adjustments!
• We hit 30 K+ viewers on our Twitch stream today. This community is the most special group of people I've ever been a part of. Thank you.

Marketplace Changes!!
In preparation for Origin, we have made some changes to the marketplace.
・ You can now toggle between Origin and Classic to view the cards in each version of the game
・ Origin filter has been added
・ Axies' Potential Points are now visible when Origin is selected 👀
・ Added new class icons
・ New font!
・ Fixed some minor UI issues
You can hover your mouse on the yellow words on the cards to know the effect of each buffs/debuffs. We hope you'll enjoy the new marketplace!

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 09: "Taunt" 🎯
How does it work?🤔
- Applies Taunt to targeted Axie. Taunt is very likely going to apply a buff onto the axie that forces all targeting by the opponent to focus on that axie. This can be very useful defensively on a tank and in the case of pocky - offensively to potentially hit a vital target in the backline.

Ear Leak Quick Look: Larva card is hinting to us that scry is closer to the scry of Slay the Spire rather than the scry of MTG.
Control+combo decks are set up to buy time and use cards like these. Larva is a good scry card because it's a 0-cost with gain energy as an upside. Antenna seems good for combo decks where you need to control what you draw and when. I like how discarding the scried cards means faster searching through your deck.

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 08: "Multi-Hit" 🎳
How does it work?🤔
- Attacks damage opponents in multiple instances. Either same target or at random depending on the card description.
Remember: Multi-Hit may be useful to proc an opponent's secret or reflect attack for a lower value (Indian Star) It may also be useful if there are charms that allow debuffs to be applied from a card’s ability.

AXIE LEAKS WITH SHADE!
We are back in Axieverse after the Ear card leaks! Origin Alpha is getting closer and closer, and I honestly think that most of you are a bit lost about the future gameplay. We don’t know all effects, their impact on the game, and we only few details about runes and charms.
But in our kingdom, there are many ways to get the freshest baguette….I mean leaks! And again we don’t have to look too far for that. Our main knight, Shade, came one more time into Discord to answer questions….

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 07: "Retain" ♻
How does it work?🤔
- Retains a card between turns. It does not get discarded at the end of your turn
Remember: Retain is a special type of effect that allows you to keep a card between turns. Some cards get bonuses or special effects if cards are retained.

How does it work?🤔
- Dispel buffs on targeted Axie.
Remember: Dispel is speculated to work similar to Cleanse but for opponents buffs. Great for clearing Taunts or other pesky bonuses they may have!

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 05: "Cleanse" 🌿
How does it work?🤔
- Remove all debuffs on target.
Remember: Good old fashioned cleanse! It should still work the same way it did in V2, just now that it can target any ally. With all the debuff cards running around probably will be an important card to keep in mind.

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 04: "Bleed" 🩸
How does it work?🤔
- Apply bleed to targeted Axie. Whenever that Axie attacks, it takes damage.
Remember: Bleed has been confirmed by Shade, to quote the excellent Guillotine Substack. It seems to be a powerful effect, we unfortunately do not know how much bleed does to the afflicted Axie or if it stacks but it will be interesting to see how it plays.
Question : Regarding the bleed, was it when the one with Bleed gets attacked or he attacks?
Shade : Axie A attacks Axie B with Piranha. Axie B now has Bleed. Axie B attacks Axie A. Axie B now takes damage because it has bleed.

How does it work?🤔
- Draw a card.
Remember: Draw is always great on a card as it replaces itself. Cycling through your deck faster also allows a greater range of options in-game.

Origin Sneak Peek: Ear Cards!
While we continue building towards our initial soft launch through the Mavis Hub, we have our next set of Origin cards for you to check out, the ears! This is the first time in Axie’s history that ears will have their own cards!
Again, please note that cards are dynamic and will change over time based on feedback from the community and data we collect around relative power. Do not make market decisions based on these teasers, they are meant to serve as a taste of what’s to come in Origin and allow you all to start theory-crafting.

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 02: "Heal" ♥
How does it work?🤔
- Replenish HP of the targeted Axie.
Remember: Heal cards are great for tanks, supports, and bruiser-style Axies to increase their survivability and staying power on the field.

Axie Origin Card Mechanics 01: "Initial" 🚩
How does it work?🤔
- If played as the First Card on your turn activate the card’s ability. The card's ability is activated when played or placed as the "first card" on your turn.
Remember: These cards should be played aggressively and as often in order to gain the most value! Initial cards are traditionally played in aggro decks that aim to burst to generate additional resources.

Origin Card Highlight 10: "Carrot"
Card Type: Attack Card
Why it's good?
- Carrot has the potential to be a little broken in its current state. Solid attack damage and in most cases ( unless your opponent truly brings the armor cards) can become an easy 0 cost card. Pressures the opponent to use shields, if they have them, to prevent a free attack. That would be better than them attacking you during that turn.
Not all cards in Origin have shields so makes it more likely to happen 👍
