After being on the road for about 1.5 years, we finally get to experience living in a mechanic parking lot. However, it could be much much worse. We went from a nice secluded spot for the holidays (probably only saw 5 vehicles the whole time) to mechanic parking lot.

We are very lucky for many reasons:
-Escanor made it to the shop without needing a tow!
-The shop has been more than accommodating, letting us stay, fill water, offering to plug in. Definitely going above and beyond!
-We are in civilization, a grocery store is across from the shop, ect.
-We took our bikes out to go to see Wonka at the movies, it's an incredible movie if you were wondering.
- ordered pizza from our favorite pizza chain
- Plus Monte is happy he gets to walk on sidewalk!

We are definitely making the best out of the situation! As soon as we are fixed up, we will be heading to Vanlife Pride ❤️

We have slowed way down this month, partly because we have been waiting for a package that shipped 2 weeks ago 🫠 but it should finally get to us tomorrow! Luckily, we have been in a great area with some amazing sunsets!

A super neat experience to witness a Solar Eclipse, even if it wasn't 100%

The last couple of days, especially yesterday, have been a great reminder that there is still good in the world!

We arrived in Moab, thinking oh great another desert. While we still aren't desert people, and a fan of tourist towns, we have had a great experience in Moab.

After volunteering at Skoolipalooza, we made some authentic connections with some pretty awesome people! To the point where we could let our guard down and be ourselves around them without any judgement. If you were a part of that group we hung out with, know we appreciate you! 🫶

We have also had some great opportunities open up to us in these past couple of days, we still need to discuss, but we will share when we make decisions!

It got even better on our chore day out in Moab! We realized pretty quickly, even for a tourist town, everyone we talked to was incredibly nice.

*A random guy helped us find a water spigot to fill our tank

*super friendly vendors at the coffee shop, food truck and small shops!

*At the Laundromat connected to an adventure tours/snack shop. We went over just to check it out. Talked with owner and he gave us a free Popsicle that he was charging $4. (It would have been worth it, they were the fancy Mexican ones🤤). Just because we stopped to talk with him!

*The best one that warmed our hearts the most was our experience at the Moab Library! We went to ask if they had or the very least knew where we could get our hands on some solar eclipse glasses. She told us we do, but are only giving them to residents. No big deal because she gave us info where to buy them. But she paused told us since we were actually nice to her instead of yelling, she gave us two pairs of glasses! It really pays to be kind!

These experiences made us pause and realize the positive in the world, even the small things! ❤️

We've been enjoying the last few weeks in some beautiful quiet places. It was much needed time to recoup and get back to being ourselves! We haven't been up to much but mostly working. We have had time to celebrate our anniversary, Shelby's Birthday and we recently got the chance to go out to eat in Fort Collins 💕 We will continue to use this next week to keep things chill before we head to volunteer at Skoolipalooza Moab!

Happy 3 year wedding Anniversary to my amazing wife, best friend, and travel companion! We have accomplished so much together and have too many memories to count. As every year passes we learn new things about each other and continue to become closer. Thanks for taking this life journey with me and I'm excited to see where the rest of our life together takes us! Love you 💕

We want to say Thanks to our Friends Heather and Garrett for allowing us to park on their property for a few days! We had a great time hanging out with you both, your kids and of course your dogs! Thank you again! We will visit again if you will have us ❤️

After spending 5 weeks with Family, we are finally on our own again! We do want to say Iowa has some of the most beautiful sunsets! 🌅

We were able to accomplish quite a bit with Escanor!

*New radiator, A/C condenser and oil change
*Fixed our fridge
*Put in new stairs, No more carpet!!!
*Reupholstered our couch
*Bleached our main water tank
* Put in a bug screen in front of our radiator
*Installed sliding locks on more cabinets

Thank you to both of our families for all your help, letting us stay on your property, feeding us, spoiling Monte, and creating new memories with all the laughter!
