The Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, in collaboration with Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, took an innovative approach to enhance talent development among youths with the hosting of a special show.
It was indeed a memorable occasion as as the contestants and spectators savoured an interesting time of splendid entertainment, made possible through with goodwill of Desopadec.
DESOPADEC 2023: A Year of Remarkable Achievements and Challenges
n this thriller, we take a look at the impact of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) on the oil-producing communities of Delta State in 2023. DESOPADEC is an interventionist agency set up by the state government to manage 50 percent of the 13 percent derivation fund for the development of oil-bearing communities in Delta¹. The commission's management team has executed various projects in different sectors, such as health, education, infrastructure, and social services².
