A true landmark in VR Games, and officially 6 years old, EchoVR is unfortunately shutting down August 1st. Before it is officially sunset, our team wanted to give it one last hurrah. We spent Friday evening flying through the arenas and having a blast experiencing ZERO-G one last time off the orbit of Saturn. A great experience, a touchstone title, and a blast to play. We are sad to see it go.

🕹️ If your goal this year is to finalize and release your #VR game to #OculusQuest, you'll want to keep Meta's list of Virtual Reality Check (VRC) requirements and recommendations at the forefront of your mind. All apps and games made available via the Oculus Quest Store or through Quest App Lab must abide by 42 or 33 required checks respectively to ensure that every title listed is of consistently high quality. 👾
👨💻 In many ways, optimizing #LoamGame to comply with App Lab's VRCs was a learning experience for our team. Throughout this finalization process, we discovered several tools and tricks that either sped the process up or made it a significantly easier one to complete, and we want to share our favorite tips with you! 🙌
🔢 For example, to help you abide by the refresh rate minimums specified in VRC.Quest.Performance.1, consider sideloading OVR Metrics Tool onto your headset to display your game's frame rate in real-time. This tool will make identifying and troubleshooting frame dips a significantly easier process. 😎
