I mean my mum tried to love me but she had traumas even I couldn’t understand and she still uses to hide from them 😞

My dad an overdosed drug addict so no love there 💔

I hope my children know they are loved ❤️

I know they do, that’s all I live for 🫶🏻

It’s easy to think the cycle must continue BUT how about mixing it the fu*k up & ensuring the pain ends with you 👊🏻

It’s yours already don’t pass it on 😉

I spent so many days wishing I wasn’t alive before I knew I was loved,

I believe it's important that every person has access to a and I'm pleased to say my friends at Lahori Xpress feel the same ♥

We are going to come together this Friday to ensure no in the city go without a hot meal 👌

The team inside the 5🌟 Lahori Xpress take away based just of Ribbleton Lane will be providing all the ingredients & also cooking the food in an effort of ensuring the quality they offer every day is what hits the streets 👌

The meal will be FREE & is an effort to offer a little support to our homeless while also giving myself a chance to have a good chat with the people eating the meal to see if any advice or referrals would be beneficial ♥

As most people know now I have been taking a few days off anything BUT this has been planned for a week or 2 now and I'm afraid as someone who has slept in a door way, not knowing when my next meal would be 😔means cancelling was not an option 👊 so FRIDAY we will be out from 8pm courtesy of ensuring our most vulnerable go to bed with a little hot food in their belly's 💪

As you know cancer has sadly ripped my whole family apart in the last couple of years, 😪

Myself and Kirsty Brogan being very passionate in the support of cancer charities and especially individuals facing the tragic illness after we organised and held the F**k y*u cancer walk Preston 2 Liverpool raising over £7500 for the beautiful Vikkie 💔

Sadly sometimes the illness wins the fight but with the brilliant work cancer research are doing to find treatments and cures we are genuinely making a difference ❤

Kirsty my beautiful soul mate is going to be taking part in the "Walk all over cancer" campaign through March and will be walking 10,000 steps everyday 💙 (A great accomplishment for anyone as somedays we 20,000 but some days we do 3,000) 👊
Kirsty Brogan will walk 10,000 EVERYDAY of March wearing her blue t-shirt in am effort to raise £150 to help fight the horrible disease that effects 1 in 2 people 😪

The Preston based charity, Here for Humanity says it has been overwhelmed by support form local people and businesses this festive season, allowing it to help families most in need.

In the week before Christmas, Preston's Direct Poultry Supply (DPS) donated 100 full turkey crowns to Here for Humanity, each weighing between 1.5kg and 2.5kg, and worth over £1200 in total.

The charity were able to give these turkeys to struggling families in the Preston area before Christmas Eve, which, along with the food items donated during their reverse advert calendar, meant they could still enjoy a full Christmas dinner this year.

Here for Humanity's reverse advent calendar appeal had been running throughout the month of December, with the donations helping their food bank this Christmas and in the new year.

Commenting on DPS's generosity, Chris, the founder of Here for Humanity said: "It was a great donation, the turkeys went out with the food club and the food bank, and we had a lot of people breaking down saying we just saved their Christmas day, they didn't have a turkey, they didn't have anything.

"We gave out 100 turkeys, with about 100 kilograms of potatoes, hundreds of pigs in blanket packages, and crates and crates of veg, but as well as giving out Christmas dinners, we also gave out presents as well, as part of the Dunelm Preston | Community Support initiative, ( ) so that is a full Christmas to some people who are really struggling. Honestly, the messages we were receiving from the group were unbelievable, it changed so many peoples days.

As well as food donations, the charity also received financial contributions from local businesses, including £1000 from We Clear Blockages, £500 from Unite the Union, and a £1500 cheque, as well as a truck load of food, from Fox Brothers

These financial donations will help continue their vital services across Preston well into the new year.

Chris added: "The reverse advent calendar exploded so much that we've had to close this week because we can't move for boxes of food in the hub, it's just piled that high. (We closed to focus on cleaning and training but the fact we can't move played a huge part in the decision *Add On by Chris*)

As that went down so amazingly, we've not had to spend a fraction of the amount of money we planned to spend in December, we still have huge outgoings, such as our FareShare bills, I think we're paying about £1000 pound a month for food, but these extra donations will definitely be put to new projects in the coming months.

"So we're feeling well prepped for the new year but we are also looking for volunteers to face the year with, there's a lot of projects and they're gonna require manpower.

"Here for Humanity are in need of more volunteers across a variety of roles, including administration work, packing parcels, delivery drivers and sorting through clothes.

As a community we was devasted by the heartbreaking news of 3 ½ month old Lachlan dying of Infant Death Syndrome on 7-12-2021 on Fazakerly Street, Ashton-On-Ribble, Preston 😪

Together as a community we have rallied around and raised just £5 under £1900, which is a huge amount of money and is going to make such a difference in giving baby Lachlan the send of he rightly deserves 💯

Yesterday local business We Clear Blockages popped by Preston “Here For Humanity” and made a £200 contribution towards the children's outside classroom after it was destroyed by vandals 🙏

A big shout out to We Clear Blockages who yesterday paid the £200 he had promised towards The Roebuck School outside classroom re-build 🙏

That is a very generous sum for the local business to contribute and it will of course make a massive difference towards the school's efforts of rebuilding the area used by the children and hopefully gives the children some sense that not everyone is bad 👍

It is sad when mindless vandals damage ANYTHING but to actually destroy an area of education is just heartbreaking 😢 so it's a breath if fresh air to see such an act of kindness and generosity from www.weclearblockages.co.uk 🙌

A Preston charity is calling for volunteers to help rebuild a local school’s outdoor classroom, after it was destroyed by unknown vandals.

Chris Murray, the founder of Here to Humanity explained: “We worked with the school on the outside classroom and we did have plans to do more work there, so when the headteacher said it had all been smashed up and asked if we could help rebuild it, I put a post on our community groups, and we did get a £200 donation from a local business, We Clear Blockages, and Dig in North West, a woodworking place for Veterans, have agreed to make a mud kitchen, but we would certainly like a lot more support.

“We need volunteers to help clean the area because it's still not safe, and a van would be good to help clear away the old wood. We also need volunteers to help build it, and more donations of equipment, pots, pans and utensils for the mud kitchen, things for the outdoor classroom, decent logs, benches, and we need to build a new mud hut with pallets, so anything that can be used by the kids really.

”Here for Humanity is a community organisation which was set up during the pandemic to feed vulnerable families but has since gone on to expand its work across Preston, and last week even won the BBC Make a Difference ‘Championship award’ for helping elderly people who were socially isolated during the pandemic.

Chris explains Here for Humanity has always been linked to Roebuck Primary as their building faces the school, and his five year old daughter Winnie attends, even starting a breakfast club herself at Roebuck for key worker’s children during the pandemic, for which she received a High Sheriff of Lancashire Commendation.

The school also made 100 handmade Christmas cards for Here for Humanity's Christmas delivery meals this year, whilst the charity helped build the outdoor classroom in the first place, and undertakes the cleaning of the school's field themselves.Chris added:

“We're very passionate about the school, and it's just heartbreaking that the students have to suffer. We're not talking about a high school, with teenagers, we’re talking about a nursery and a primary school, in fact the outdoor classroom attaches to the nursery, so they've actually targeted the youngest of the kids and these kids are our future, so its heartbreaking to see this and that's why it's important to get some more support, because really, I'd want it to be better than it was before, because the pain of going through this is is something that I feel should be compensated."

Help is needed to rebuild a ruined outdoor classroom in Ashton-on-Ribble.

When is it?

World Su***de Prevention Su***de Day is always on 10th September.

Why is it important?

In 2018, in the UK and Republic of Ireland, more than 6,800 people died of su***de. Every life lost to su***de is a tragedy.

And we know that su***de is preventable, it’s not inevitable.

But not being okay is still widely stigmatised. And governments can still make better, more ambitious plans to prevent su***de.

I Would like to say a massive thank you to Everyone who took the time to read the article that James Holt at the Lancashire Post wrote.

Between the shares their was hundreds of lovely comments & while i may not have been able to reply to them all I'd just like people to know I read them all and they all mean so much to me, I never changed my life with the intentions of serving the community I spent years just working a 9-5 it was only when Covid hit our community that I started supported my own neighbours and then it spiralled from their❤
I genuinely appreciate all your support, kind words, messages of encouragement & positive advice 🙏 HFH & The community are just 1 big family that support each other, eat together, hurt together & look out for each other. I'm proud to be a part of it 🤜🤛

27 Years He was sentenced to today ⬇️🙌
Two men have been jailed today (Friday 14 May) following a complex investigation into the grooming, exploitation and r**e of vulnerable young womenOperation Command was launched in 2019 following reports of s*xual assaults on a number of girls.

Following the investigation two men were charged with a number of offences.
Amos Ocheng, 51, of Winckley Square, was convicted after a trial of the r**e of three girls, three trafficking offences and three counts of supplying drugs.

All the victims were girls aged between 14 and 19 at the time of the offences.
Ocheng’s friend Dickson Ngaunde, 27, Stanford Avenue, Brighton, Suss*x was convicted at the same trial of the r**e of one girl aged 19.

Footage was recovered from Ngaunde’s mobile phone of him having s*x with the girl who was clearly unconscious at the time.
The offences were all committed in Preston in 2019.

Ocheng was today sentenced to a total of 27 years and Ngaunde for ten years.
OCheng was also classed as a dangerous offender.

The victims have all described the traumatic impact of what Ocheng, who also uses the name Max and Tyrese, and Ngaunde, who used the aliases DJ Dickson and Jimmy Rowen, did on their lives, including one of them attempting su***de and another being made homeless.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Holgate, who led Operation Command, said: “There was a pattern of behaviour indulged in by both these men where young, vulnerable females are befriended for one singular purpose, their own s*xual gratification.

“I would like to commend first and foremost the bravery of the young women who have reported these offences and gone through the trial process – it cannot have been an easy experience to relive what was done to them but these convictions would not have been possible without them and I am grateful for what they have done.

“I am grateful too for the work the Crown Prosecution Service and Counsel have done in securing these convictions and to the trial jury who carefully considered the evidence and delivered the guilty verdicts.

“We would encourage anyone who has been a victim of a s*xual assault to come forward. The decision to report an assault is a hugely personal one, but we want to reassure people that all reports to us are taken very seriously and we will investigate in a sensitive and supportive way.

“We offer support and working with you to ensure that you have the right help from the appropriate services.”
