This video replays the historic meeting in Bamenda on December 10, 2010 , between Cameroon's late opposition leader of the Social Democratic Front SDF party, Ni John Fru Ndi and the current President of Cameroon, Paul Biya . The meeting held on the sidelines of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the Armed Forces which President Paul Biya presided over in Bamenda, chief town of the country's Northwest Region, came after many years of hectic political and ideological differences between the two politicians following the tension of the 1992 presidential election that allegedly deprived Fru Ndi of his victory.

Detained Former Mayor of Zhoa Council, Tem Peter Cheghe Freed.

The former mayor of Zhoa Council in Fungom Subdivision, Menchum Division of Cameroon’s Northwest Region, Tem Peter Cheghe has been freed after spending over two weeks in detention in Wum. We gathered from a source closer to the family that he regained his freedom on bail in the evening of Thursday December 14, 2023. The politician was detained after he was summoned on Thursday, November 30, by security forces at the Wum Gendarmerie Brigade where he spent over two weeks.

Who is Beng Humphrey Fang?

Beng Humphrey Fang is an enthusiastic Cameroonian practicing Journalist and a strategic communicator who has been using his personal and career experiences to create admirable impact in different media and non-media organisations.

The young experienced copy and news editor was born on June 15, 1996 and hails from the Weh Fondom in Fungom Subdivision, Menchum Division, North West Region, Cameroon. Humphrey is a post-graduate research student in the Department of English, University of Yaoundé 1, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Studies.

He holds workshop training attestations in Journalism and Mass Communications, and other professional and technical fields such as audiovisual production, studio management, Peace etc.

He did his secondary education in Government High School (GHS) Weh.

Beng Humphrey Fang is equally Desk Editor for *The Voice* newspaper, Professional Event Host(Master of Ceremony), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of *Hummy News* online news outlet, Director of Communications and External Relations of the Toghu Association for Culture, TAC (TAM), Director of Communications and Public Relations of the Northwest Youths and Students Cultural Association (NOWEYSCA), and Director of Communications and Public Relations of Ex-GHS Weh Students Association.

He is also the Director of Communications of Mammi De Bolonial Foundation.

As a leader, the former Bureau Chief of The Rambler Newspaper for the Centre, East and Centre Regions of Cameroon, has served at various levels (Secretary General, Vice President and President respectively) in the Weh Students’ Association, WESA. The one-time co-host of “360°” show on Canal 7 TV, and former freelance writer for *The Post* newspaper, has been recognized by the Accredited Students of the English Department (ASED) for his sociocultural contributions to the Department of English Modern Letters of the University of Yaoundé 1.

“Young Leaders of Tomorrow In Sorrow”

Old power holders always with us in the morrow,
To tell that the young are leaders of tomorrow.
For years the youths reign in sorrow,
I stand to doubt if we shall see the tomorrow.
The old leaders have drained away our last marrow.
Suffering youths struggling to borrow,
The lone path of hope now narrow.
Heavy taxes we pay to have a wheelbarrow.

The old rulers look at the young as monkeys,
As they ride pass on state donkeys .
They have misplaced our key,
And politely, they lie hard work is the key .
Old rulers of today getting young,
Young leaders of tomorrow already gone old,
This is the song no one has ever sung,
This is the unfortunate odd.

The old rulers feel no shame for their greed,
This is the witchcraft indeed,
And I will tell more in a creed.
The ailing old rulers keep collapsing,
But none is resigning,
The country continues failing.
Our beautiful gold they have sold,
Still, the nation trembles in cold.

I mourn for the dying future,
Old dictators have blocked us to feature,
And they care less to nurture.
The young are dying in need,
But the old leaders prefer being enemies indeed.
Though the aged rulers have stolen the whole,
We shall surely swim out of this sole,
To re-erect the destroyed pole.

“Royalty In Exile”

There is much to compile,
As I mourn for the king in exile,
His people have not seen him long.
And they wonder when again they shall hear the sound of the gong?

The people see the lion only in picture,
And some are now afraid of the future,
For the king has lost his attire.
I pray for the return of the king with a desire.

I remember His Majesty left when he was not tired,
But he now lives where he is retired.
For long we have not heard the c**k crow,
And all we sow in the land cannot grow.

Oh, where is the emperor?
The empire is bleeding in terror,
And there is no one to quench the horror.
The gods continue to be silent .
For how long will they relent?

The throne sits on itself abandoned.
Many things have been forgotten.
Royals are crying ,
People are dying .

I weep to hear the Landlord is now a tenant,
In a strange land where he has no royal covenant.
The gods are hungry at home for libations,
But no one to fulfill the conditions,
We are forced to dine with tribulations.

The king is in a foreign land ,
We don’t know where we now stand.
We can’t hear what the ancestors are saying.
For the king is where he should not be staying.
I mourn for the King in exile,
May he not be there for a while.

Happy Weekend from

*And I Have Crossed The Bar*

This is the story of a certain year ,
And I will tell without fear.
Hope you will love to hear,
For I feel the spirit is in the gear.

So much pain in the last season,
I got lost looking for the reason.
Everywhere blows the wind of attacks.
And in the early morning my heart cracks.

I have lived a sad end.
Death has been a bad friend.
Scaring moments staring at my family,
And all I thought was a homily.

It’s been a journey of tears,
Full with emotions of fears.
Sad to witness a year of triple sorrow,
And I lost hope of a tomorrow.

Finally, I saw the last moon,
And no one could ask me again :”so soon?”
I can see the smiling future afar,
Happy I have crossed the bar,
And I have divorced the old era.
I will tell the rest when in the opera.
