Today marks the 40th anniversary of ACCEPT's legendary fifth album, BALLS TO THE WALL. Even though it was originally released in December 1983, the record label chose to delay its release in the US for another month so it wouldn't interfere with the band's then-current album, Restless & Wild. Balls to the Wall has always been hailed by Accept's contemporaries and successors, and you'd be hard pressed to find a critic who ever gave it a negative review. The album was eventually certified gold by the RIAA in 1990 (Accept's only album to accomplish that feat in the US), and it goes without saying that the title track remains one of the most extraordinary metal anthems ever recorded. God bless ya! 🤘🇩🇪
