Who else is so confused as to what day it is? The bank holiday has completely thrown me😅

Our cinema/family room is our sanctuary. When we first planned this room we never thought we would use it as much as we do. It’s our secret hideaway and where we spend most of our time. I absolutely love this room and it’s turned out even better than I visualised 💙🤩

How is it Thursday already??!! Not that I’m complaining 😜
We’ve so much going on right now renovations have taken a back seat but if I’m honest it’s helped us take a step back and instead of rushing into things it’s given us chance to decide exactly what we want rather than going full steam ahead and making mistakes.

The next job inside will be the entrance hallway. We have such exciting plans for here. You know me, I like to be a bit different 😜

We initially thought about having a secret door leading down to the cinema room but considering the hallway is quite dark and narrow after a lot of thought decided on opening it up and putting a glass panel in. This has not only opened up the hallway it has also made the cinema room feel part of the house instead of feeling like a basement room.
So if were to give you any advice about renovating it would be to not rush into things, live in it and get a feel for it first!!

💛 Happy Friday 💛 looks like it’s going to be a lovely bank holiday weekend here ☀️
I love the entrance hall to our house. We haven’t touched it other than putting in the glass to the staircase down to the cinema room. Lots of ideas for this part of the house. One day we will get around to doing it. Maybe after we’ve finished the garden 😅

💛 Friday 💛 and what a beautiful morning it is here today!

Very rarely do I show you the lounge in our house as it’s usually the dumping ground or the “room of doom” as we like to call it 😜
Which is a shame as it’s the most beautiful room but another room yet to be renovated.
There are many items in this room that hold a lot of memories. So I thought I’d share a few.
My parents collection of cranberry glass, the goose girl and blowing bubbles pictures and the gold “cherub mirror”. These are just a small collection of many items scattered around the house. I’ve always had a love of antiques or vintage pieces. Their uniqueness and history that hold memories and I’m sure a lot of secrets!!

Why, hello March!! Didn’t you just sneak up from nowhere.
What a busy year it’s been so far and not much renovation work has been done in that time. Not that we don’t have brains bursting with plans and ideas that will hopefully get started soon! I’m like a frustrated artist right now 🤯
We have been so busy with another “project” that I will let you in on soon 🤫 any guesses what it could be?? I’ll just keep you guessing until I reveal.
Want a hint? It’s nothing to do with houses or renovating 😜

We’ve been in our house two years this week 🥳 happy house anniversary to us 💗

Hey 👋🏼 Hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday?
I had every intention of be really productive today and work through my never ending list of things to do BUT this sofa was calling my name 💛
Everyone always asks me where I got this painting from. It is in fact a mural from .marmalade that we pasted on and made a frame to go around. So much better and cheaper this way plus you can order the exact size you want.
Anyway, enjoy your day whatever you’re up to. Im off to doze on this sofa 😴

So glad I’ve finished the Christmas decorations 🎄🎄🎄 just the rest of the presents to sort and the last few cards to write.
I’m so behind this year. Christmas is just coming around too quickly for me!!

I’m so looking forward to revamping this room next year. It’s exactly how it was when we moved in. I’m not a fan of the fireplace or the magnolia walls🤪 but have some amazing ideas. It’s such a beautiful room 💫

and what a day weather wise eh? I wish it would just make up its mind!!
How quickly this weekend has gone for us. Cannot believe it’s Monday again tomorrow. It’s been a busy one for us with Mitch working and fitting in fireworks and drama club for Jenson.
Looking forward to being able to crack on with some more work in the house soon!! Already planning the Christmas decorations 😉

The cinema room is just about finished 💫 just a few little bits to tidy up. The weather today was absolutely glorious until 3pm when the heavens opened so we all hid down here watching movies 🎥 the perfect room to hide away. Can you spot my 3 year old hiding 🫣?

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know"

I then turned and looked behind me,
and seen I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where King's and Queens,
are Monarch's every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.

so after a few weeks of very hard work and typical renovation mess😫 the cinema/entertainment room is finally done!! Just waiting on the glass shelves to be fitted in the bar area next week 🥂
We’ve really missed using this room while it’s been out of action!! Especially on a lazy Sunday 💙
Which room shall we tackle next 🤔 😂
