SaharaReporters has obtained a document detailing how President Muhammadu Buhari’s government procured 10 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles for officials of Niger Republic with public funds.

This is yet another shocking revelation of the nefarious activities of the insensitive regime of Buhari which has subjected Nigerians to unnecessary hardship.

From documents seen by SaharaReporters, the Nigerian government, through the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, approved N1,145,000,000 for the purchase of 10 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 vehicles, for government officials in the Republic of Niger.

The contract was awarded to one Messrs Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited and approved by President Buhari on February 25, 2022.

According to the document sighted by SaharaReporters, the Nigerian government, in order to cover up its fraud, had obtained Due Process Certificate of No Objection from the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) to Direct Procurement Method.

The contract was said to be funded from the Ministry of Finance’s 2022 Appropriation sum of N282 billion.

The document is titled, ”Approval For The Award Of Contract For The Procurement Of Vehicles For The Republic Of Niger For Logistic Support”.

It reads, “The purpose of this memorandum is to seek Council’s ratification of the President’s approval for the award of Contract for the Supply and delivery of 10 Toyota Land Cruiser V8 vehicles, for the Republic of Niger, as logistic support, in favour of Messrs Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited, in the sum of N1,145,000,000.00 inclusive of 7.5% VAT, with a delivery period of one week as indicated in the table below:

“2021 Model, V8 Toyota Land Cruiser: Specification: V8 Engine, Automatic Transmission, Alloy Rims, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Keyless Entry, Air-Conditioner, Push Start, Airbags, High Mount Stop Light, Radio/MP3.

“Three (3) years or 100,000km Warranty. Delivery to Niger Republic, Flight, Logistic, Insurance & Foreign Customs Duties.

“Unit Price (N) N80,600,000.00
Total Amount (AD) (for 10 units) N806,000,000.00

Delivery to Niger Republic, Flight, Logistics, Insurance and Foreign Customs Duties – Unit Price N33,900,000.00 —(10 units) N339,000,000.00
Grand Total-N1,145,000,000.00.

“The Presidency of the Republic of Niger requested for logistic support from the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria vide letter with Ref. 000104/PRN/DIRCAB, dated 20 January, 2022. A copy of the letter is attached to memorandum as Annex I.

“It is noteworthy that Nigeria and Niger have enjoyed close and long-standing diplomatic relations as captured in several Bilateral Trade and Economic Agreements, as well as various memoranda of understandings (MOUS) ranging from migration and human trafficking, to drug trafficking, and infrastructural development in line with integration policies of ECOWAS.

”The rise of insurgency in the shared borders has also led to deeper ties between both countries Presidents’ significant and strong role in the promotion of peace in Africa warrant this gesture.

”The request supports bilateral relations between the two countries. The vehicles will be used to assist the country in the transportation and movement of VIPs, high-ranking officials, top government functionaries and visitors scheduled for official visit to Niger at this time of its nascent democracy, with all its attendant consequences on their collective and individual security and safety of lives and property.

”The President on February 25, 2022 gave approval for Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning FMFBNP to urgently procure to Toyota Land Cruise V8 SUVs to support the Republic of Niger by way of logistics. A copy of the President’s approval is attached to this memorandum as Annex II.

“Considering the urgency of the request, the Ministry adopted Dire Procurement method in line with section 10 a&b of the Public Procurement act PPA 2007
“In furtherance of the process, the Ministry contacted Messrs Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited, a reputable and accredited Toyota car dealer with good track record and requisite experience capabilities and capacity to execute the contract within the shortest time frame was requested to submit its profile and quotations.

“The sum of N1,145,000,000.00 only, which includes the cost of vehicles, delivery, 7.5% VAT was submitted by the company. Copy of the Ministry’s request Messrs Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited quotation is attached as to memorandum as Annex III.

”Consequently, the Ministry sought and obtained Due Process Comp Certificate of No Objection from the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) to Direct Procurement Method for the procurement of 10 Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles for the Republic of Niger as Logistic Support in favour of Messrs Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited, in the sum of N1,145.000.000.00 inclusive of 7.5%, with a delivery period of one week.

”Copies of BPP Certificate of “No Objection” and Process Review Report are attached to this memorandum as Annex IV.

“The procurement will be funded from the Ministry’s 2022 Appropriation, the sum of N282, 548, 005, 655.00 under the code 0220001001-Ministry of Budget and National Planning as a source of fund for the project. Copies of the Ministry’s 2022 Appropriation are attached to this memorandum as Annex V.”

Two days ago, I wrote about my candid opinion about Naomi Oluwaseyi, Mama Tadenikawo's social media personality and her half body dressed.

Osinachi’s husband is married to another woman –Minister

Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, says Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of the late popular gospel artiste, Osinachi Nwachukwu, is married to another woman.

She spoke on Wednesday while she featured as a guest on NTA’s Good Morning Nigeria’s breakfast show monitored by The PUNCH.

According to the minister, Peter, who is now in police custody, physically assaulted his late wife and her four children.

Tallen noted that the children of the deceased opened up to her when she visited the Abuja residence of the late singer this week.

She said the children told her that their late 42-year-old mother had no bank account of her own as all her proceeds were usurped by their father.

The minister said, “Honourable member, the deputy chief whip, happens to come from the late Osinachi’s village and she was out of town (and when she came back), she was in my office to thank me for the visit and she demanded that I should ask one of my aides to take her.

“I asked my CSO (chief security officer) to take her and when they got to the house, with the encouragement I gave the children, they are encouraged to speak out.

So, more revelations are coming out and (one of) the sons went in and brought out an album; he’s (Peter) been married to another woman. You can imagine collecting money from her (Osinachi) and treating this woman as a beast of burden.”

The minister vowed that justice would be served on the matter as it would be followed to a logical conclusion.

Did I hear someone say she should have left that toxic marriage when she being abus*d? By the way, how could she, when our religious mindset was more toxic to her life and her gospel music career than her husband. I will tell you why she did not go but rather died in silent.
Who does not know that based on a religious mindset, the selling point of the gospel songs was dependent on her "staying in her marriage". You still don't understand. So I ask, how many churches or Christian organizations would have considered her a good guest minister if she was divorced from her husband?
How many persons would have embraced her as a sister in Christ without believing that she could not be submissive to her husband little wonder she was divorced? This is how ironically, we use religion and religious mindset to k!ll the gifts God has given to us in the church.
Today, many are throwing stones on her husband and yet we fail to see how much the religions mindset in us aided in her de@th too.
Believe me, there are many more Osinachi in our churches today still caged in marriage to their abus!ve husband's because of "God hates divorce" slogan.
I can bet you that only either of two things keeps a woman in an abus!ve marriage. One is her inability to survive independent of the man abusing her and secondly is religion! Of these two, religion is more deadly because even many women that can actually survive independent of their abusive husband's still remain because of religion and this was the case with our dear sister Osinachi!
Now preacher, you say God hates divorce and you quote the scripture verse but I ask you does that same God not hate domestic violence and abuse?
When divorce that God hates can become a solution to domestic violence and abuse in marriage which God also hates, does wisdom not teach you to chose a thing God hates that will keep you alive than the one He hates that will k!ll you?
It is high time you rise up and stop living your life based on the standard religion has set for you!

Andrew Nice R***d Me Inside A Bus, Says Victim, Presents Evidence

Nice (Andrew) Omininikoron, the driver of the Bus Rapid Transit vehicle arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a passenger, Oluwabamise Ayankole, has been accused of engaging in illicit acts with another female passenger in Lagos State.

The female victim, who spoke exclusively to PUNCH Metro, accused Omininikoron of ra**ng her on November 25, 2021.

This came amid calls for justice for Oluwabamise, whose co**se was recovered at Ebute Ero, after she was last seen on the BRT bus driven by Omininikoron.

Narrating her ordeal to our correspondent on Thursday, the lady accused the 47-year-old of ra**ng her on the BRT bus.

The former sales girl at a shop in Ajah said after she closed from work around 8pm, she boarded the BRT bus driven by the suspect.

The driver was to convey her from the Alesh Bus Stop in Ajah, to Jakande, along the Lekki Epe Expressway, when things took another dimension.

She said, “While on our way, he switched off the light of the bus, but the AC was on. But as we approached the first toll gate coming from Ajah, he suddenly parked the bus. He then told me to come and sit at the front and started asking me different questions.

“I saw him using a drug and my thinking was that he parked the bus to use the drug before time ran out. A few minutes later, he started making advances towards me and I saw that his manhood had risen up. I became very uncomfortable and insisted on getting down, but he didn’t open the door.

“He said he wanted both of us to go and chill and that he wanted to have s*x with me, but I declined. Suddenly, he brought out a knife and dragged me to the back seat of the bus. He told me to take off my clothes, but I refused. He threatened to kill me. He tore my gown, forcefully removed the biker short I wore and r***d me. I felt sad.”

The victim said she could not call for help because Omininikoron parked the bus at a desolate location, adding that he refused to let her go after allegedly ra**ng her.

If I call her a murderer it’s because she admitted to being a murderer.

When powerful people saw how pretty she was, they lawyered her up and instantly she denied killing him. She change her story. No be today them dey host beauty pageant for prison… but since she was the one that won… pictures of her are now being circulated! It’s a slap on the face for the family of the man she killed! It’s a slap on the face of the children she rendered fatherless.
No one wants to see the killers of their loved one celebrating weda in prison on in hell, no one wants to see it.

But as it’s a pretty girl, people don’t mind.

And it’s bad!! It’s very bad! If she was a man who killed a woman… this will not be happening. This is pretty girl privileges!

Her team are trying to force her feigned innocence on us. They are trying to make us feel for her.

Confession of couple arrested with human parts in Ogun State

43-year-old Kehinde Oladimeji and his 35-year-old wife Adejumoke Raji arrested over the weekend for being in possession of human parts at Leme area of Ogun State have confessed how they k!lled their victim, his wife's friend.

While being paraded before newsmen on Monday, February 14, at the Ogun State Police Headquarters, the husband, Oladimeji, revealed that his wife singlehandedly k!lled her friend, who had paid them a visit.

He said it was the body parts of his wife’s friend that the police saw in the bucket caught with them.

According to him, his wife singlehandedly b her friend and dismembered her body parts, after which they both sold the deceased’s head to someone in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital for N70,000.

“There was a day my wife invited her friend, a lady, to our house for a visit. The first time she came was on a Tuesday, she came that particular day and went back home.

But the second day she came, it was a Thursday. That day, my wife cooked noodles and eggs for the lady, which she ate. Later, the lady went into the bathroom to shower.

But when it was getting dark that day, I inquired from my wife when her friend would go home, but my wife said she was weak and would need to lie down to regain her strength. I sat in the backyard, but when I returned to the room, I realized my wife had k!lled her friend and dismembered her body.

When I asked her why she did it, she told me that the lady had offended her a long time ago. The person who bought the head came from Ibadan. His name is Oluomo,” the husband revealed

He explained further that his wife had overheard him on the phone when a friend from Ibadan called him to request a human head.

“I have a friend in Ibadan, who is popularly known as Omo Baale. He told me he needed a human head, but I told him I didn’t have such a connection or anybody who can help facilitate it.

My wife heard the discussion and asked me how much the man would pay for the human head."

CBN slashes bank charges, ATM withdrawal, others

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has slashed the charges and rates on some transactions including ATM withdrawal, ATM maintenance fees, interbank/intra-bank transfer, among others.

The apex bank, in a circular released on Friday, January 28, 2022, announced that the Standing Order charge for intra-bank will be free instead of the N300 contained in the 2017 guideline.

The circular signed by Chibuzor Efobi, CBN Director, Financial Policy and Regulatory Department, also announced that charges on interbank transfers have been reduced to a maximum of N50 per transaction compared to the N300 held in 2017.

Bills Payment (including bills payment through other e-channels) is negotiable, subject to a maximum of N500 per beneficiary payable by sender, a review from the N1,200 or 0.75 per cent for a biller or merchant to pay.

Electronic funds transfer charges is now N10 for a transaction below N5000; N26 for transaction of N5001 to N50,000 while transactions above N50,000 will be charged N50.

Withdrawals on other banks’ ATMs have been reduced from N65 to N35 after the third withdrawal within the same month. The CBN also reduced ATM bill payments charge from N100 to N50. Debit card maintenance charges that were N100/month have been removed in the new guideline.

“The new guideline applies to financial and non-financial institutions under its licence or regulatory purview,” the circular reads.

How 35 year old mother of 2 was killed, mutilated and buried by a herbalist over N30,000 transferred to his account

Missing mother of two in Lagos found dead, her body allegedly mutilated and buried by her trado-medical doctor
Mercy Henry, the mother of two who was declared missing in Lagos state in December 2021, has been found dead.

Mercy went missing on December 16 after she left her home to see a trado-medical doctor in Ijegun, a suburb in Lagos state. She however did not return home on the said day, leaving her family in total despair. They began to call all her friends and one of them named Ayo who resides in Port Harcourt, informed them that on that same day, Mercy called her asking for a N30, 000 loan. According to Ayo, Mercy told her that she was ill and needed the money. Ayo told the family that the money left her account by 1.59pm on the same day and that by 2.02pm, Mercy's phone was turned off and had remained switched off.

With her information, the police traced the account she sent the money to one Mayowa who happened to be Mercy's Trado-medical doctor. Mercy had given birth to one of her daughters with the assistance of Mayowa.

Using the information supplied by Ayo, the police went to First Bank, and with the assistance of the Bank, Mayowa, the account holder that received the N30, 000, was arrested.

When interrogated, Mayowa claimed to have seen Mercy four years ago when she came to his traditional birth center to deliver a baby girl. However, his phone history and chats showed that he and Mercy spoke on December 15 at about 9:00p.m.

In an interview with LIB, Mercy's younger sister, Promise, confirmed that Mercy has been found dead. She said Mayowa confessed to killing Mercy after one of the other three persons arrested in connection with her disappearance confessed that they killed her. The suspect led the police to his backyard where he had mutilated her body, packed them into sacks, and then buried them. Promise stated that Mayowa didn't give any reason for killing mercy but it is believed that it was for ritual purposes. She said he is currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department SCID.

Mercy is survived by two daughters aged five and three years old.

A 51-year-old Nigerian-born UK resident nurse, Omolayo Abayomi, has had her Nurse’s licence withdrawn by the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council for throwing her hands into the air and begging for Jesus to help, as a baby she was supposed to be taking care of suffered a heart attack.

According to Daily Mail UK, Abayomi “panicked” when the child, who suffered from a chronic lung disease, turned blue and stopped breathing in his cot at home.
The nurse called for divine intervention more than 20 times before the vulnerable boy’s mother told her to “shut up”.
The nurse was constantly saying “Jesus help him” and waving her arms around, a hearing was told.

The nurse ‘provided wholly inadequate care’ by leaving the frantic mother to resuscitate her lifeless son, while the father dialed 999.

Abayomi was found guilty of a string of charges by the Nursing and Midwifery Council at a hearing in central London.

Sydney Topping, for Abayomi, insisted his client’s behaviour had represented no more than a “bad day at the office” and urged the panel to let her off with a caution.
“Once in a while you have a bad day at the office,” he said.

“I would suggest that on April 8 the registrant had a bad day at the office. It was no worse than that. She has bounced back since then.”
The hearing heard that the child, referred to a Patient A, and his twin sister were born three months premature at Homerton University Hospital in Hackney, east London, and as a result suffered from a number of serious illnesses and so required round-the-clock care.
Joanna Dirmikis, for the NMC, said Abayomi had been employed by private nursing firm, Pediatric Nursing Link, to look after the infant, who required 22 hours of nursing care every day.

The parents were woken by a knock on their bedroom door at 5am on April 8, 2007, to find their son lying lifeless after suffering respiratory cardiac arrest, the panel was told.
“While Mrs. A was trying to resuscitate the child, Mr. A called 999,’ said Miss Dirmikis.
“The twin sister of the little boy was also present during the incident and can be heard crying in the background during the call.”
“She panicked and at one stage even summoned divine intervention, calling for Jesus,” she added.

Paramedics rushed the boy to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone, east London, before he was taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital on the same day for further treatment.
Giving evidence, a tearful Mrs. A said Abayomi had effectively “abandoned’ her during the incident.

“The nurse was constantly saying “Jesus help him” and waving her arms around,” she said.
“She said it more than 20 times. I felt I had to do everything – at that point she was doing nothing to help my son.

“She never offered to take the lead at any point and at no point did she suggest calling 999.
“I can’t change what’s happened to my son, I know I did the best for him but the nurse just completely abandoned her duty.
“If I can save just one other person from having to go through what we have been through, then that’s what I want to do.”
The panel heard Patient A, now aged five, made a full recovery from the incident but is still totally dependent on others for his care.
Abayomi claimed the mother had pushed her away and refused to let her help.

She denied calling out for Jesus, panicking and failing to provide care or basic life support.
The nurse further denied failing to properly handover the case to paramedics and making inaccurate and false notes about the incident.
She was cleared of specific charges that she suctioned the child’s tracheostomy tube or that she failed to record observations taken but was found guilty of misconduct and ruled unfit to continue working without restrictions.
Striking Abayomi off, panel chair, John Williams, said: “This was a failure to accept responsibility for her role in the events by the registrant.

“She has shown a lack of empathy with the parents of the child and there has been no admission or apology, and therefore no insight.
“This failure is incompatible with her continuing to be a registered nurse.”

Greenfield Abduction: We Paid Bandits N180m To Release Our Children, Says Parent One of the parents of the abducted students of Greenfield University, Kaduna says N180 million was paid to bandits before their children were released. On Saturday, fourteen of the abducted students regained their freedom. The students were abducted on April 20 when bandits attacked the institution. The bandits subsequently killed five of the students and threatened to kill the others if a ransom was not paid, while one of the students was later released.
