Bullish Case for SLP

Current facts: AXS = high; SLP = low; Breeders = less; Axies = Piling up in MP

The question is, why haven't they increased SLP rates even when a lot of people are shouting "slp dumping, bad 4 economy" "mint 2 burn ratio too high, bad 4 economy"?

We can all agree that the devs can easily change the rates as they did previously, right?

Here is why I think they have foreseen this and the current price movements are expected:

1) I believe that the team thinks the current ratio of axies to player is simply not enough
- If SLP = $0.5-1 today (as they could easily make it by adjusting breeding fees), there would be a gold rush and everybody would be wanting an axie today, not only increasing the price of axies, but making the number of axies scarce.
In the company's view imo, that is not healthy for their long term plans. A lot of people will profit in the short term but it will limit the number of new players coming in the game gradually as prices skyrocket. Based on price history, higher SLP = Higher Axie Price

2) Higher Liquidity
- Might look scary that SLP price is dropping and comparing the number of minted to the burn rate might seem alarming. But I think this is necessary, why? As the number of players grow, the price of SLP will be more volatile if they keep the burn rate higher than that of the mint rate. Think about it, If players are increasing and SLP tokens are decreasing, that would lead to, again, higher SLP price, higher Axie prices, higher entry cost for new players, less players entering the game = not good for the long run especially when they haven't implemented all features yet.

Right now, with higher mint rate, there is more supply of SLP tokens. Now why is that a good thing? As the supply becomes higher, it will be harder and harder for the price to go down and at the same time, harder for the price to go up. Meaning the price of SLP will be less volatile in the long term, it will stabilize at a certain price, and "massive dumps" are less likely to occur because the shares are diluted to all players and the old players who hold MASSIVE amounts of SLP will not be able to move the price if they decide to sell majority of their SLP. Additionally, it will now be more likely for the price to go up given that we have DOZENS of catalysts waiting to be announced just around the corner.

3) This is what growth stocks on wallstreet and all other exchanges do all the time
- Minting tokens isn't exactly like a secondary share offering but it is similar. It is done by a company that is expecting massive growth in the future. The funny thing about it is, literally in stocks, all investors also see share dilution as a very negative thing, just as how Axie players are seeing higher mint rate as a negative thing. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely ways it could be bad but right now I would see this as an understandable and calculated decision by AI.

By this logic, I personally feel that we are just gearing up for future expansion and growth. $0.3 SLP is low af. It can easily reach $1 by next year.

Long appreciation post because this guy deserves it:

So bumili kasi ako ng SLP sa binance para magbreed ng axies. Pero hindi ko naisip na binabawasan pala ni binance yung binili mo pag tinransfer sa wallet dahil sa fees.

So dumating ng kulang kulang yung SLP ko pangbreed.

Tapos ayon kalahating araw ako post ng post sa groups na willing ako bumili ng baryang SLP sa mga tao for any price through P2P kasi pag pinadaan ko ulit sa binance, ang taas ng fees lugi ako tingi lang naman kulang ko.

Then ito si sir (name crossed out kasi baka iPM niyo XD) grabe.

Ito lang takeaways ko dito:

• Ang main purpose ng Axie Infinity, in my opinion, ay mahatak pataas lahat. Ginawa nilang ganto yung system/economy ng game para mabigyan tayo ng opportunity iangat ang isa't isa. Ayon yung mindset ng founders and ng initial community (mga taga ibang bansa). Grabe hindi ko siya kilala at wala kaming kahit anong connection pwera sa discord channel na yon full of random people.

• Sobrang inspiring na pinapractice sa ibang bansa (diko alam anong bansa siya) yung concept ng pay it forward. Don't get me wrong marami din mabubuting loob dito pero hindi natin maddeny na ang daming umaabuso sa generosity ng iba dito satin. Lalo na when financial gain is involved.

Sana lang maincorporate at maappreciate natin yung values na dala ng Axie Infinity economy where we all have the opportunity to lift everyone up. Sana mabawasan yung scammers at mapang abuso na mga tao hindi lang sa larong to but sa bansa natin.

Ayun lang sobrang heartwarming talaga ng nangyari kaya kinailangan kong ipost tong taong to.
