Until relatively recently, it seemed that the Wii had to remain relatively devoid of “mature” titles. In March last year, no hero appeared, but for a long time this game was the only occupant of a lonely and bloodstained niche on the market. Things have changed this year. For the past four months, we’ve already had the chainsaw MADWORLD, a frustrating but passable Tenchu game, and the zombie manna that was HOTD: Overkill. Now, in the not too distant future, Nintendo’s family console will get Dead Space: Extraction-a prequel to one of the grayest games of 2008.

Dead Space Extraction will always be your common light gun or garden striker, the game doesn't seem too shabby graphically.

That’s what Jun Takeuchi of Capcom, producer of Resident Evil 5, Onimusha 3 and the original Lost Planet, says. Last week we bought you our first impressions of a very early version of Dante’s Inferno on PSP, EA’s God of War Hack’n’slash. To be honest, what we’re most excited about are the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, and considering the crowd gathered at EA’s recent EA Games Label and the EA Sports EU Showcase event that more or less ignored the PSP game, that’s everyone. We had a great hands-on time with the PS3 version of the game and released as many unbaptized babies as possible.

Dante's Inferno is a third-person action game in the style of God of War, based on the first part of Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy".
