In 1989, Bianca Onoh won the Nigerian version of Miss Intercontinental. However, a few months later, she decided to quit instead of completing her term.

This happened when it came out that she was dating Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, a political figure who was 34 years her senior and an associate of her father. Some newspapers even falsely claimed she was expecting a baby.

Although Bianca and Ojukwu never confirmed or denied their relationship until they got married in 1994, the organisers of the pageant, Silverbird, were very angry. They usually do not want their winners, like Bianca, to be in the spotlight with high-profile relationships while they are still reigning.

Later, Bianca said she found it too hard to manage her duties as a pageant queen, which was why she gave up her crown to the runner-up, Regina Askia, who then finished the rest of her term as the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN).

Did you know??
Towns called Amuzu in Igbo land arose from ancient settlements of blacksmiths

Awka clan is prominently known for their smithing prowess but they were not the only clan that excelled in smithing...

The Agbaja clan before them excelled in smithing, it is even believed the skills honed and perfected by Awka smiths were transmitted to them from Agbaja..

Item and Ebiriba are two other smithing clans not related to Awka..
Actually Item came to their current location in search of iron ore and they formed settlements all over the Cross River area.

I’m absolutely disappointed as many of our IGBO youths don’t know anything about their father’s history. If you don’t know anything about your father, how can you claim his land properties

Our ANCESTORS studied the HUMAN BODY, and discovered it has magnetic force, capable of magnetic both negative & positive energy: with their knowledge of how Ose Oji(Alligator pepper) works, they came up with a way of cleaning negative energies off the body, but the Europeans undermined all of these achievements and said our ANCESTORS were primitive, uneducated, uncivilized sub-humans until they came with their Western democracy and religion.

Insult to the intelligence of my ancestors.

Dibia is a gift, it is in the lineage of some people. A Dibia is led in knowledge; he or she does not need teaching. When you meet a good and natural Dibia, his works and the way he does his things will tell you whether he is real or fake.

Ìgbò Ancestors Did Not Worship Idols and Demons - A Journey Into Ịgọ Mmụọ In Odinana Ìgbò:

There is a popular rhetoric among the modern Ìgbò, that claims that Ìgbò ancestors were evil and that our noble ancestors worshipped idols and demons.

This narrative which started around the 1840s and 1850s by the Christian missionaries and their converts accuses Ndi Ìgbò of practicing an evil tradition and spirituality which involved the worshipping and keeping of covenants with idols and demons.

Till this very day, these false narratives that stemmed from a misunderstanding of the Ìgbò worldview and cosmology, Odinana na Omenana, has continued to wax strong in the modern Ìgbò society, with Ìgbò Christians and other outsiders championing and sponsoring the malicious lies against the Ìgbò belief system.
