Good Morning People!!!

Tommy stood in front of the courtroom bench, listening as the judge read off six charges against him. He knew right away he was guilty of them all, but due to several technicalities, he also knew he could beat each case if he took them to trial. However, if found guilty, Tommy could face years in prison. Instead of taking the risk, Tommy chose to accept a plea deal that dropped five of the charges, leaving him to face the consequences for just one. His accomplice, on the other hand, chose to fight. The result? Tommy got a slap on the wrist, while his partner didn’t fare so well. Sometimes, compromise is the better battle to fight.

Happy Freedom Friday, my Weekday Warriors! I’m working outside today, and I must say, the weather this week is totally different from what I was enjoying this time last week! Speaking of the weather, your KC metro area forecast starts off in the upper teens and reaches a high of only 45 degrees. This week’s final topic is The Importance of Choosing Your Battles Wisely.

“Choose your battles wisely. After all, life isn’t measured by how many times you stood up to fight. It’s about choosing the right fight.” – C. JoyBell C.

Every disagreement or obstacle doesn’t need your energy. Some battles, though tempting, aren’t worth the time, stress, or consequences they bring. Fighting every fight can leave you drained and distracted from what truly matters. So listen up, people: not every hill is worth climbing, and not every argument needs a rebuttal. Save your strength for the battles that align with your values and purpose—those are the ones that matter. So the next time you’re tempted to fight, pause and ask yourself, “Is this worth it?” If not, next choose to protect your peace.

Good Morning People!!!

Hunter was serving a 15-year federal prison sentence for distributing methamphetamine. He was being held at the Sandstone Federal Prison in Minnesota. On this particular day, he was set to receive his very first visit. He was excited because he hadn’t seen his wife and kids in months. His sister and parents were also coming along to visit. Little did he know, they would never make it. Tragically, the RV the family was traveling in was forced off the road by a semi-truck driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel. There were no survivors. Hunter took the news hard. He believed this would not have happened if he hadn’t gone to jail. He blamed himself, and the weight of the tragedy plunged him into a deep depression. His mental state deteriorated so severely that he had to be placed in protective custody to prevent him from harming himself. He would never be able to forgive himself for this.

Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors! It’s that time again! Your KC metro area weather starts off in the low 20s and warms up to only 38 degrees today. This week’s Throwback topic is The Importance of Self-Forgiveness.

Have you ever been wronged by someone and expected an apology? What about the other way around? Now ask yourself this question: When you wrong yourself, how often do you actually forgive you? A lot of times, we seek things from others that we aren’t even willing to give ourselves. We preach forgiveness without practicing it for ourselves. So listen up: as you accept apologies from others, make sure you’re also forgiving yourself. Give yourself the closure you need to move forward, so you can continue learning and growing in this life. If you don’t forgive yourself for the mistakes of the past, how can you make room for the lessons from the mistakes you’ll inevitably make in the future? Self-forgiveness isn’t just about healing; it’s about preparing yourself for growth.

Good Morning People!!!

Roslyn sat reading Good to Great by James C. Collins, a book about achieving lasting greatness through disciplined leadership, focus, and adaptability. It highlights the importance of excelling at what you do best while embracing change. Roslyn had been out of school for two years, and even though she graduated with flying colors, she never stopped yearning to learn more. Instead of letting her modern-day schooling come to a brick wall, she decided there was nothing wrong with adding a large picture window to that wall, broadening her view of a world filled with more education. Because of this decision she grows smarter every day. As the old saying goes, “The more you know, the more you grow.”

Happy middle of the week, my Weekday Warriors! The temperature outside today is making a strong statement that fall is finally behind us, and winter is here for the time being. Speaking of the weather, your KC metro area forecast starts out in the upper 20s and only reaches a high of 38 degrees today. Your Hump Day topic is: “The Importance of Continued Education.”

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” – W.B. Yeats. Self-education is the fuel that keeps that fire alive, empowering us to learn, adapt, and grow beyond formal classrooms. The world is constantly changing, and those who embrace lifelong learning thrive. So listen up, people: the resources are endless—books, podcasts, online courses, and mentors are all within reach. It’s about staying curious and taking charge of your own development. So the next time you feel stuck or unmotivated, remember: self-education is the key to unlocking your full potential and creating a life you love. Keep learning, keep growing.

Good Morning People!!!

Joshua turned up the street just a mile from his home, continuing at a steady pace to complete his daily run. He was already 108 pounds down from six months ago, and thanks to the daily running habit he had developed, he knew he would reach his goal of losing 150 pounds by the end of the year. This sudden drive came from being sick and tired of always feeling sick and tired. He knew his health wasn’t the best, and to improve, he realized it was up to him alone to make it happen. So one day, he started running. Because of that day, Joshua has run himself into a healthier, more energized body. Good for you, Joshua—good for you!

Happy Taco Tuesday my Weekday Warriors! What a wonderful time it is to be alive people! If you agree please comment with your favorite color heart below. Your KC metro area weather starts out in the upper 20’s and reaches a high of only 41 degrees today. Your topic today is on ‘The Importance Of Making Things Happen’

“Success doesn’t come to you; you go to it.” This powerful quote by Marva Collins reminds us that waiting around for opportunities won’t get us anywhere. Dreams and goals are only as good as the action steps we take to bring them to life. It’s easy to talk about what we want, but real success comes from putting in the work. So listen up, people: stop waiting for the perfect moment or someone else to make things happen for you. Take charge, stay consistent, and watch how doors start to open. So the next time you catch yourself hesitating, remember—make it happen, because no one else will do it for you!

Good Morning People!!!

Yahir stood on stage, overlooking a wave of over ten thousand supporters and spectators. He was in the middle of delivering his election speech for the presidency. As he made promises to the people about what he would accomplish if elected, a chill of excitement ran down his back. He knew deep in his heart that he would fight against any evil to make those promises a reality—even if it meant paying the ultimate sacrifice. Yahir also knew his actions up to this point had already spoken for him. His unwavering commitment to his previous endeavors assured the people of what they could expect if he was elected. Yahir won his race, but the best part was that he continued to walk the walk while talking the talk.

Happy Motivational Monday, my Weekday Warriors! I am back from vacation, y’all! I hope you missed me! I must say, cruise ships are earthly heavens. I can’t wait for my next embarkation. Your KC metro area weather starts out in the upper 30s and reaches a high of 52 degrees today. Today’s topic is The Importance of Walking the Walk.

“Actions speak louder than words.” This timeless quote reminds us that what we do carries more weight than what we say. It’s easy to make promises or talk about your dreams, but the real magic happens when you back those words with action. Integrity isn’t about saying the right things—it’s about doing them. So listen up, people: your credibility and character depend on walking the walk, not just talking the talk. Be someone others can count on, someone who turns words into tangible results. So the next time the tongue in your mouth is moving, make sure it’s moving in the same direction as the tongues in your shoes.

Good Afternoon People!!!

When I woke up this morning, I could have easily chosen to awaken bitter. I could have cursed the day for all that I no longer have in this world. I could have blamed God for not giving me another holiday with my mom or my little buddy. I could have also completely ignored the fact that I, myself, have been granted the opportunity to experience another holiday. Do you know what I did instead? I opened my eyes and thought, What a blessing it is to get another shot at this thing we call living. I then lay there, reflecting on all there is to be thankful for. Here are a few:

I am thankful for the energy that supports my being (thank you, Lord). I am thankful for my family, friends, supporters, followers, vendors, clients, and customers. I am thankful for my BTBY, AYPN, Tribe Avocado, Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube communities. I am thankful for my great neighbors and public servants, as well as my coaches, mentors, agents, and ACA family. I am thankful for my accomplishments, my courage, my past, my weaknesses, and my strengths. But most of all, I am thankful for the opportunity to wake up and be thankful today.

Listen up, people. If you woke up this morning with only the things you were thankful for yesterday, what would you have today? Just the very thought of this question should raise your awareness of all the things you may take for granted. So why not spend today building the habit of not only being thankful for making it to another Thanksgiving meal but also creating a daily practice of gratitude for every day you open your eyes? You have so much to be thankful for. Stop limiting it to just one day a year. Every day we are given on this beautiful planet is a blessing to acknowledge. So the next time you feel a little lacking, remember all of the things that you don’t lack like your life.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all..☕️😎🌹

Good Morning People!!!

Roland was a simple man who showed up for work each day, worked his eight hours, and returned home to his family. He was the kind of person who held doors for his coworkers, covered shifts when needed, and helped out with extra projects when asked. To him, none of it seemed like a big deal.
However, at his company’s yearly awards gala, Roland discovered something different. No small deed goes unnoticed. His boss, along with the entire staff, wanted him to know just how much they appreciated his efforts. To show their gratitude, they presented him with a Certificate of Honors and a four-day family vacation getaway.

I Guess the little things really do add up.

Happy Taco Tuesday, my Weekday Warriors! Let’s power through this short work week—it’s almost turkey time! With the chilly weather outside, it’s easy to see why everyone rushes to move past Thanksgiving. Speaking of weather, your KC metro area forecast starts off in the mid-20s and nearly makes it into the 50s by day’s end. Today’s topic is “The Importance of the Little Things.”

“It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.” – John Wooden.

Life is built on the little things—small moments, acts of kindness, or tiny victories that often go unnoticed but shape our happiness and success. A simple smile, a kind word, or an extra moment spent with someone can leave a lasting impact. It’s not always the grand gestures that matter most; it’s the small, consistent efforts that create meaningful connections and long-term success. So listen up, people: don’t overlook the importance of the little things in your day. So the next time someone offers a kind gesture or a moment of their time, remember, it’s often the little things that mean the most.

Good Morning People!!!

Jamie Lynn sat in the mechanic shop lobby, feeling defeated as she wondered how she was going to pay for a brand-new transmission. She was also racking her brain trying to figure out how she had even damaged the transmission in the first place. Her next thought was, If Dad were still alive, what would he do?

“Dad, I know you’re up there looking down on me. What should I do? Where am I going to get the money to cover this?”

Just before Jamie Lynn signed the service agreement, a thought came to mind: What if I got a second opinion? What if the mechanic is taking advantage of me because I’m a woman?

After further consideration, she decided to seek a second opinion—and it’s a good thing she did. It turned out that a clogged fuel line, much cheaper to repair, was the real issue instead of the transmission.

Happy Motivational Monday, my Weekday Warriors! It’s time to slide right back in where we left off on Friday and continue killing it!
Your KC metro area weather starts off in the upper 20s and climbs to somewhere in the upper 40s before the day wraps up.
This week’s opening topic is “The Importance of the Second Opinion.”

“Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make makes you.” – John C. Maxwell.

Your second option is often your best teacher. While the first may seem like the obvious choice, it’s the backup plan that challenges you to adapt, think critically, and grow. Sometimes, the second option isn’t just Plan B—it’s Plan Better. So listen up, people: don’t dismiss the alternatives without considering their potential. Whether it’s a career path, relationship, or life decision, that second door could open to opportunities you never imagined.
So the next time you face a fork in the road, take a moment to weigh all your options—especially the second one.

Good Morning People…

Terrell and Tyrell were twins who hung out with two completely different groups of people. Terrell’s friends were gang members involved in illegal activities, while Tyrell, on the other hand, spent time with friends who owned small businesses, attended college, and were career-driven.
Because of these two contrasting social circles, the brothers were heading toward two very different futures. One path promised the positive rewards of hard work and dedication, while the other only promised three free meals, a plastic mattress, a pillow, and a jail cell. If it were up to me, I’d rather hang out with Tyrell. That way I know I’ll always be able to choose where I lay my head at night.

Happy Friday, my Weekday Warriors!
It’s time to gear up for not only the cold weather moving in over the next few months but also the weekend fun you’re about to embark on. Expect your KC Metro area weather to start off in the upper 20s and top out in the upper 40s. Today’s topic is The Importance of Being Selective.

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” – Jim Rohn. The company you keep has a profound impact on your mindset, habits, and success. Surrounding yourself with positive, driven, and uplifting individuals can inspire growth and help you reach your full potential, while toxic or negative influences can hold you back. So listen up, people—being selective about who you allow into your circle is not selfish; it’s necessary for your well-being and growth. Protect your energy and focus on relationships that add value to your life. So the next time someone asks for your time, consider if they align with the future you’re building.

Good Morning People!!!

Emily watched as her dorm room roommates descended the stairs of the dormitory they all shared. They were heading out to one of the biggest frat/sorority parties of the year. Emily, on the other hand, knew that in order to graduate, she needed to study. To stay focused, she had set some strict guidelines for herself—one of which was to avoid all parties until senior year. Because of these boundaries, Emily eventually graduated at the top of her class, while several of her roommates found themselves explaining to their parents why they had to retake classes to achieve the same. I guess restrictions really aren’t so bad after all.

Happy Hump Day, my Weekday Warriors! We’ve officially made it to the middle of the workweek once again, and let me just say this: today, I was quickly reminded of the season we’re in. Speaking of seasons, here’s your KC metro area weather update. We’re starting out in the mid to upper 30s, with a high of only 50 degrees today. Your topic for today is ‘The Importance of Your Restrictions.’

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.” – Jim Rohn

Restrictions aren’t here to hold us back—they’re here to guide us. Think about it: every successful person follows a set of principles or boundaries that keep them focused. Without structure, chaos takes over, and progress becomes impossible.
So listen up, people—embracing limits isn’t weakness; it’s strength. Restrictions protect us from distractions, keep us on course, and remind us what truly matters. They’re not barriers to freedom—they’re the foundation for it. So the next time someone questions why you set boundaries, remind them: it’s not about what you can’t do; it’s about everything you’re working to achieve!

Good Morning People!!!

Jameson sat at his teller window at the bank where he had been working for the past seven months. He watched a homeless man across the street holding a sign that read, “Hungry. Anything helps.” As the man stood in the cold, holding his sign, Jameson noticed that every single person who walked by completely ignored him. Jameson, however, couldn’t look away. He believed no man should go hungry. Without hesitation, he ordered a pizza and a 2-liter soda and had it delivered to the man. Watching the man receive such a gift was heartwarming, but seeing him thank God for what he received was the true blessing. Way to go Jameson!!

Happy Taco Tuesday, my Weekday Warriors! Is it just me, or are the remnants of summer finally starting to fade away? Well, I guess this great weather was good while it lasted. Expect your KC metro area weather to start off in the mid-40s and reach a high somewhere in the mid-50s to upper-50s. Your topic for today is The Importance of Reaching Out.

“No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.”

These profound words by John Donne remind us of our interconnectedness. In a world where so many struggle in silence, reaching out can be a lifeline. A kind word, a helping hand, or simply asking, “Are you okay?” can make all the difference. So listen up, people: we all need each other. Your small act of compassion today could spark hope in someone who feels forgotten. So the next time someone crosses your mind or seems to need support, don’t hesitate—reach out and show them they’re not alone.

Good Morning People!!!

Maude retrieved her mail from the mailbox, paused for a second to watch her new neighbors moving in, and, when one of them attempted a formal greeting, quickly turned away, completely ignoring them as she walked back inside her house. She had hated her previous neighbors and had already decided she would hate the new ones too. But Maude soon discovered her new neighbors were nothing like the old ones. After learning she lived alone, they began bringing her plates of food, which eventually turned into dinner invitations. By the end of the first year, Maude found herself saying words she thought she’d never utter: “I have the best neighbors in the whole wide world.” My question to you is this; What kind of neighbor are you?

Happy Motivational Monday, my Weekday Warriors! The rain is here for the majority of the day, and what better way to wash all the negativity away? Your KC metro area weather starts off in the mid-50s and reaches a drizzly high of only 67 degrees today. Your Monday morning topic is ‘Loving Thy Neighbor’.

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This Golden Rule is a simple yet powerful reminder of how we should treat one another—with kindness, respect, and understanding. Loving your neighbor means more than just being polite; it’s about extending compassion and grace even when it’s not easy.
So listen up, people: when we choose love over judgment, we create spaces where everyone feels valued and seen. It’s in these moments that true community and connection are born.
So the next time you see someone in need or have the chance to show kindness, remember this rule and lead with love—you might just inspire others to do the same.

Good Morning People!!!

Blaine had not been herself for some time now. She had been acting according to what many of her friends and coworkers expected of her. In reality, she hated her job as a sales representative. Most of her days were spent lying to customers about products she knew didn’t work. However, because it was her job and all of her friends and coworkers were doing it, she had decided to go along with the plan. But today was the day she’d had enough. When she arrived at work, she approached her boss and explained that she no longer wanted to deceive customers. Because of this, she was handing in her resignation. As she walked out, she felt the weight of a thousand faces lifted from her shoulders.

Happy Hump Day, my Weekday Warriors! We are officially nearing the end of the week, and that can only mean one thing: quality time! So, make up your mind about how you’ll make that time worthwhile. Your KC metro area weather starts off in the mid to upper 40s and will only reach a high of 59 degrees today. Today’s topic is The Importance of Removing the Mask.

The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” – Carl Jung.

In a world where we’re constantly encouraged to put on a front, removing the mask can be one of the bravest things we do. When we show up as our true selves, we give others permission to do the same, creating deeper connections and a life that feels genuinely fulfilling. So listen up, people; life is too short to spend it pretending. Letting go of that mask isn’t about being perfect; it’s about embracing who you are, flaws and all. So the next time you’re tempted to hide, remember that your true self is what the world needs most.

Destiny had her war paint, team jersey, and #1 foam hand on, cheering as loud as she could from the stands in her team’s home stadium. They were down by one score, and the guy behind her kept taunting her about how time was running out and how her team couldn’t turn it around. She didn’t let him get to her, and then something incredible happened. Due to a mistake by his team, her team took the lead just as time expired. The guy behind her was furious, but before he could say anything, the man next to him gave a stern warning to leave. Way to stay chill, Destiny!

Happy Throwback Thursday my Weekday Warriors! Time to bring you back to a previous post you may have missed. Today’s metro area weather starts out in the low 40’s and only reaches a high of 60 degrees today. Today’s throwback topic is on ‘The Importance Of Your Chill’.

Living in a world where challenging personalities seem to pop up every day, it can be hard to hold onto your patience—especially when you’re out in public, with everyone watching to see how you’ll respond. This is why it’s important to carry a couple of ‘Chill Pills’ in your pocket, because keeping your composure will always serve you well in these situations. So listen up, everyone: when you encounter someone struggling, before you decide to react, take a moment to “chillax.” Find a peaceful place in your mind, go there, and close the door on any nonsense. Otherwise, the situation may end up leaving you even more drained.
