Hello there!
It’s Mark here and for those who don’t know, I’m the other host of The Tea Circle.
One of the main reasons I wanted to start a podcast is to give people a bit of escapism by telling stories, sharing random facts and exploring mysteries.
The goal with half of my content is to share something that leaves you thinking “huh?, I didn’t know that!”, something that gets you thinking and hopefully leaves you feeling a little bit better than before you tuned in.
There’s the positive stories that raise a smile, like some fella in Brazil who makes cozy little beds for stray animals by upcycling old tires.
Then there’s the random facts, such as how you can get a job as a Panda Nanny and spend your days being paid to cuddle them or how goats have pool noodles put on their horns when they get angry, making them harmless but leaving them looking ridiculous.
It’s just all random bits of knowledge that aim to uplift you, make you giggle and brighten up your day a little.
The other half of my content is my favourite part of the podcast, the weird stuff!
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy telling a story about someone getting brutally murdered in the 1800s or describing an odd 10ft tall creature that was once spotted in the woods of West Virginia or telling you about some French dude who used to eat babies.
It’s all the spooky and disturbing stuff that I feel like you need to know. I love that.
At the end of the day, whether it’s something positive or something spooky, I want a listener to be able to switch off from any worries they carry and enjoy a story.
It’s such a simple offering but I believe it to be a valuable one.
Outside of all that, Ive always thought podcasting is a great medium of entertainment to get into.
You don’t have to be super rich and famous, anyone can do it and it can be about absolutely anything you want.
Just grab a mic, pick a topic and off you go!
I always wanted to give podcasting a go and here we are over 50 episodes later.
I hope by listening to our little podcast, we inspire you to try something you’ve always wanted to do too.
Thanks for listening and sticking with us this far, much more to come!
