Attention, my Haitian Brothers and Sisters,
In light of everything happening in the news concerning our people, it's important to recognize that some of what you've seen has been orchestrated by those seeking to incite hate and division. While it's often said that all publicity—whether good or bad—can be beneficial, we must approach this moment wisely.
Instead of reacting with anger or frustration, let’s use this opportunity to engage with local leaders, state representatives, and our communities to advocate for the changes we wish to see. Shouting obscenities or making threats toward politicians, whether old or new, will bring no positive results. It’s time to move beyond that and focus on real, meaningful action.
Whether you’re in Chicago, Florida, New York, Ohio, or any other state where migrants reside, this is a chance to shift the narrative in our favor. We can become the positive change we hope to see in this country. Let’s unite, speak out constructively, and work together to build a better future.
