The third episode of Chenango Voice is now online.
When the food chain breaks, get to know your local farmers!
It’s mid-May, 2020, and New York State is cautiously moving into Phase I to reopen essential services during the coronavirus pandemic. Disruptions have occurred in the US food supply chain, as meat packing plants and other critical industries struggle with outbreaks of COVID-19. Considering the potential impact of such disruptions on small communities, Chenango Voice thought this would be a great opportunity to focus on the Oxford Farmers Market, which brings local farm products directly to your table.
So, our third episode features a conversation with Trellan Smith, one of the organizers of the Oxford Farmers Market. The interview was conducted by Chenango Voice producers Betty Bytheway and Diane Gallo, recorded via Skype on Monday May 11th, 2020. Brought to you by Bohemian Moon.
