Prior to the school year’s start or after the first week of school, More With Sam is taken for an eye exam. Eye health is very important. At today’s visit, discussion was had surrounding how more outside play helps the eye to strengthen seeing distances. While he enjoys outside play, Sam also loves to read …a lot.
Be sure to engage your children in more activities that require them to see distances. For your child’s eyes sake 🤍 Wishing all scholars a great school year!

To keep his brain active during Christmas break, Sam completes daily work from a 5th grade book. Even though he’s in the 4th grade, little by little he his preparing for the future. Read his story about Christmas.

Today is the last day of school. So Sam wanted to go straight to the bookstore! He’s ready for a new series, and he is starting the The Spy Kids series! We didn’t see the first one, so he said he’d check it out at the library so he could read them in order.

Karate and Starbucks - my kind of fun!
He did his homework and said he wanted to read before time for karate. I kept calling him….and here he is.
Sam LOVES popcorn!!!!!! So when he went to Garrett Popcorn in Chicago, he was too excited!

“Labor Day is to celebrate all the people who work and have helped to make our world better through the work they do. So I am thankful for my mommy and daddy and their work. I’m celebrating the Apple Inc. Software Developer for my iPad, and my teachers, and the air conditioner on hot days, and SEE and Ray-Ban for glasses, and mattresses and blankets for days when I don’t have to go anywhere. Let’s celebrate all of the wonderful things!”

Sunday afternoon means review a subject so the mind will be fresh for school. Today Sam reviewed math. Since he was SO phenomenal, he asked if he could get a treat. Everyone should get on down to Baskin-Robbins. It’s hot wherever you are (if not, go anyway).
Mommy: “Sam, how do you want to celebrate the first day of school?”
Sam: “SUSHI, of course!”
