I could talk about self-love all day (and I WILL lmao) and talk about how great detachment is & speak on how much I actually, genuinely value my solitude & feel good on my own,

but at the end of the day
I’m just human

I want to feel loved, and now that I know, as an adult, that it has to be accompanied by respect, I want to feel respected by a partner (the bare minimum, I know).

But I also need that relationship to be real & passionate. I often fear that I’ll be in a relationship with good boundaries, clear communication, all the basic stuff

yet none of the chemistry
passion
real feelings
real desire
real yearning

but it’s what I deserve.

and I’m not gonna let today’s pessimism around love to get in the way of that. we all want & deserve a real, genuine, healthy love

I think in the grand scheme of things, the more I practice self love & acknowledge how special I truly am I realize I’m not asking for much when it comes to my love life.

My self-value is to the point where I recognize that all I want is for someone, now matter how they see themselves (as long as it’s healthy) to see me as I am y darme mi lugar.

It’s really not much.

We are all godesses 🌸

I don’t know if any of you have any existential crises around love & romance but I do, and one of them has been around knowing another person, that person knowing you, and the concept of love itself.

Every relationship is in our own head. We don’t know what exactly the other person is thinking when they love us, or how exactly they see themselves in the relationship, or how they see us. we kinda of just have to…. trust.

And be a little… delusional

I feel like sometimes we place our value on how many relationships we have, or if we even have one. Too many self deprecating jokes come from being single or having little friends.

And I feel like… if people placed their value on themselves rather than on the relationships they lacked, they’d be better at loving people.

Loving people and their essence. That’s it. Not because they’re your partner, or your friend, and that brings you status, but because they are a complete person in your complete life. They make your complete life even sweeter & richer by just being in it.

I’m so grateful for everyone in my life— my girlfriends, my mom, my grandma, and that’s what makes me a happy, single woman. 🌹

For , I kinda wanna share some reflections I’ve made about love, specifically romantic love, & here’s the first one.

I was talking about this with a friend recently and I hope you know that if you’ve ever loved someone, it’s not a waste of time if it didn’t work out, or if they’re not in your life anymore. Loving someone is literally just generating an energy that comes from YOU— it is not a transaction where you give it away & you never see it again, it is a strength you own that can be generated again. It comes from YOU.

So never feel wasteful about loving anyone, know you will love again in bigger, better forms because the love you give is inside of you. 💓
