Casual Monday morning Hike with Jr at Kepayang Hill today. This place have been go to place for a quick hike or even a long hike depending on your appetite. God knows how many time I've climbed up here and it's always a feel good feeling to be up there.

My very first experience to hike up Bukit Timah. Got lost even before starting the hike but it was great nevertheless. Almost 5 KM walk up and down the Rail Corridor trail. Tried covering most of the trail that I can do which was the dairy farm loop and the jungle farm path. Hopefully next round can cover up rest of the trails. The hike ended with the sightings of beautiful green snake near the toilet at the entrance. Overall it's a beautiful day to be out there enjoying nature. I wish there is clear view of the quarry near the tower.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 16/16 (30 December 2023)

Today is basically back home ride. Left the hotel as early as 5 in the morning and by 3 PM back home to Seremban. What a fantastic 16 days ride covering 5800KM.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 15/16 (29 December 2023)

Todays ride is towards Hat Yai, last stop before entering Malaysia. Once reached we visited Suzuki Hat Yai and Triumph Hat Yai. Later in the evening we visited Bro Foo's friends house for dinner. They had prepared various local dishes for us. We also had a mini celebration for bro Foo's birthday.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 14/16 (28 December 2023)

This would be the longest ride from the trip covering about 680 KM. Target is to reach Chumphon. Took us 10.5 Hours to reach the destination. Later that evening we rode to Khao Matsee View Point to enjoy the sunset and coffee in the cafe (Thamsing Cafe) located up there.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 13/16 (27 December 2023)

Next 4 days are basically long trip down south to go back home. Todays destination is Nakhon Sawan. We reached quite early since left the hotel early. Had our lunch at a mall nearby. Today is brother Foo's birhtday. We have planned a surprise celebration for him. Celebrated his birhtday with cake ordered from hotel in the restaurant belongs to the hotel.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 12/16 (26 December 2023)

Today is border crossing day, our agent helped with the exit formalities at Laos and we are in Thailand in no time. We headed to Chiang Mai from the Chiang Kong border. Later that day we visited the night market in Chiang Mai and had our dinner at food street near the hotel.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 11/16 (25 December 2023)

Today we travelled to Xuai Xay which is a border town betwen Laos and Thailand. This also means that this is our last day in Laos. We went up the temple nearby which gives a nice view of the city plus the mekong river. Later that day we enjoyed the sunset along the river at our hotel restaurant.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 10/16 (24 December 2023)

Todays ride is towards Luang Namtha. We left early so that we can have more daylight and the distance is longer compared to previous rides in Laos. It was freezing cold in the morning. The temperature dropped till 6 Degree celcius at one point. Before heading to Luang Namtha, we stopped in Boten first. Boten is the borden town between Laos and China. Roads are pretty bad as usual but all our bikes managed to tackle it with ease.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 9/16 (23 December 2023)

Todays ride is heading towards Nong Khiaw. Another small but beautiful city. We left left from Luang Prabang as the distance is short. Later once we arrived we walked around the city for lunch and enjoying the scenic views from the city which is also located along mekong river. Later in the evening we hired a small boat to bring us along the river while enjoying the sunset.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 8/16 (22 December 2023)

Early morning we went up the Wat Sensoukharam temple to catch the sunrise. On this day we rented scooter to tour around the Luang Prabang. Also today we have Kerstin joined us for the day trip. She is a solo traveller from Germany whom we met in VangVieng. Our 1st stop was to Kuang Si Waterfall. The waterfally is so beautifuly as we can see from the picture. Subsequently we headed towards Pak Ou cave which is located at the other side of the town. We ended the by having dinner somewhere close to LP town.

Laos Ride 2023 - Day 7/16 (21 December 2023)

Todays ride is heading towards Luang Prabang and can be considered the toughest ride for the trip despite the distance. The roads are pretty bad comprising or muds, poth holes, dust and rocky terrains. The bikes tackled the terrain with ease and also the 80/20 tyred helped big time. Road was better after the Kasi town and managed to stop at mountain cafe along the road. It was a scenic place to stop for coffee. Once done we headed towards our journey later had our dinner along the night market in Luang Prabang.
