Today marks a week since my mother’s passing. Words cannot express the pain my family and I are in and my heart is broken.

At first, we considered postponing this week’s episode, but after thinking about it, we realized how appropriate it is. The story of a young girl and her female musical influence, a girl who also lost her mom to cancer. On this week’s episode, our guest Nancy Harrison shares the experience of how her mother’s death connected her to Dolly Parton, her hero.

I would like to dedicate this episode to my mom Karin. She was able to hear the first three episodes, and she loved them. I hope you can hear this story mama, and I hope it makes you smile. I miss you more than words can express. You taught me to seek solace in music, to love music more than anything else on this earth. I will never stop playing you music, and I will never stop loving music, almost as much as I love you.
