One aspect of Fortune's Thru Hiker Magazine will be to showcase and focus on mom and pop and smaller businesses that directly are associated and involved with the thru-hiking and outdoor world. The big box stores and chains get enough exposure. I want to not only help the thru-hikers and thru-hiker enthusiasts but also these small companies and owners who have dedicated their careers to this beautiful passion of ours.

Last night I got to be part of a special private event for an outdoor gear store opening. I seen this space when it was just a blank large room and then came boxes and shelves and last night a beautiful oasis of outdoor gear and apparel. Such a transformation from an idea to a beautiful work of art.

I have been "Fortunate" to see many things in my life start from nothing but an idea and become a masterpiece. Some beautiful works of inspiration and hope to things that motivate and bring peace.

That is one big reason I am so excited for the launch of this magazine. Seeing it come from an idea to a piece that thru-hikers and thru-hiker enthusiasts and fans look to for years to come. With 25 years of publishing and advertising experience and creating something from an idea to print...it's like my whole life has been preparing for this moment where my skill and craft meet my passion and purpose.

This magazine is my baby, my vision ...and I will pour my heart and soul into every issue to bring the best information, stories , and pictures to inspire, educate, and motivate the best that I
possibly can.

As a thank you and to celebrate this new publication at Christmas we will be giving 3 gift cards to an outdoor company. This is not a raffle or anything like that...it's simply just a gift to three people..The three will be chosen from the people who have put their email at the website to stay updated on the magazine. Showcasing different Trail Towns
Showcasing new Thru Hiking Trails
Indepth info on the big Thru Hiking trails..for example...the AT, The PCT and the CDT
Info on gear, food, prep, training
Info on hostels, shuttles, resupply, hotels.

So so much more.

The Hope is to become The Standard for information on Thru Hiking for Thru Hikers and Enthusiasts alike.
